I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone:
for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

But the mercy of the Lord
is from everlasting to everlasting
upon them that fear Him,
and His righteousness
unto children’s children;
to such as keep His covenant,
and to those that remember
His commandments to do them.
Psalm 103:17-18

Holy God,

We treasure this promise from Your Word, Lord. We look to You for mercy, forgiveness, and shelter from the cultural and spiritual decline of our nation, and we thank You for the hope we have in You that You will lift us out of any darkness that seeks to linger in America. We thank You, Lord, that Your Word tells us Your mercy is upon us, our children, and our grandchildren as we walk in obedience to You. Such knowledge is too wonderful to imagine, but we know that it is true. No matter what our children and grandchildren may face in the future, we have the promise that You will show them mercy and help them even long after we are no longer here. Father, the depth of Your love for us knows no bounds. We serve a mighty and awesome God.

Thank You, Lord, for caring for the children of our military men and women. We ask You to send Your people to support the spouses who wait for their loved ones to return home. Give aid and comfort to the children, Lord, who miss their mother or father. Grant each family a happy reunion at the appointed time.

Father, may Your mercies and grace also be shown toward Israel as You continue to protect and defend her. We pray that the Gospel would be shared and accepted by all people there and that the leaders of Israel will use the authority You have given them to stand strong for their nation. Thank You that our President is taking a stand against those who harass and seek to injure the Jewish students in our schools. We are confident in what Your Word says: that those who bless Israel will be blessed.

Father, we thank You for allowing us new leadership in our government. Lord, please send Your Holy Spirit to guide them into the light of Your blessings. We ask for Your grace and mercy to be showered upon President Trump as he continues to do great things for our country. Thank You for helping him with every battle. We confess that You will defend him, avenge him, protect him, and provide for him as You shower him with wisdom and understanding.

As our nation is led through many needed changes, we ask You to help us to bless and encourage those who are willing to stand publicly and privately for Your Word. Let all that is hidden be revealed so that corrections can be made. Help all Americans to be committed to righting every wrong with Your help so that we may return to the center of Your will.

Father, may You be glorified in the lives of those who love You, and may we be committed to sharing Jesus with those who do not know Him. We bless You, Lord, and we forget not all Your benefits. In the powerful Name of Jesus Christ, our Blessed Redeemer, we offer these prayers with grateful hearts. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. And let all the people say Amen.
