The Satanic Grotto is set to “dedicate the grounds and [the Kansas]legislature to the glory of Satan,” later this month.
In a statement posted on Facebook, the group announced its intentions, saying, “We will be performing rites to the Black Mass and indulging in sacrilegious blaspheme. God will fall and Kansas will be embraced by the black flame of Lucifer. Hail Satan.”
Kansas Catholics, along with the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property, have led the charge in coordinating a “rally of reparation.”
These groups are calling on Catholics and Christians across the nation to gather outside the Kansas Capitol or pray from home while the satanic ritual takes place on March 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The Satanic Grotto is known for its public mockery of Christianity, frequently protesting outside Planned Parenthood clinics where Christians gather to pray for an end to abortion. The group has been seen shouting vulgar messages and mocking God in an attempt to ridicule people of faith.
This is nothing new. Satan has always used the same tactics to attack the works of God. Yet, Scripture reminds us that evil will not win:
“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” – Luke 10:19
In 2022, Kansas voters had the chance to pass a state constitutional amendment against abortion. But even in a conservative state, the anti-Life side won by nearly 200,000 votes through fearmongering.
Now, Kansas has become a key destination for women and girls from Texas who are traveling to end their baby’s lives. Abortion has increased in the state by 58%, with “roughly 4,300 abortions” performed on Kansas residents, “while about 15,000 were done on out-of-state residents,” as reported by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
As these works of darkness unfold, Christians must stand firm in faith. Whether in Kansas or from afar, believers are called to pray, fast, and offer reparation for this offensive act.
God’s heart aches for every preborn baby lost to abortion—and for every person who does not know Him and chooses to mock Him. Join us in praying that those attending the “Black Mass” will encounter His truth and turn to Jesus in repentance. Let’s also pray for preborn babies across America, that they will be protected from every attack of the enemy.
Some good guys with flamethowers could add some realism to the “black flame” of their “mass”.
If something really evil hits a black mass, like a bolt of lightning killing 15 of them like elk in a high meadow, a bomb, a mass shooting, a fallen power line, an outbreak of Ebola, etc, can we laugh? It seems like they would’ve directly conjured it up.
I’ll wait…
BELIEVERS - in Satanic Islam or Christian salvation?
Let’s see these unholy devil worshiping freaks try their little stunt at a mosque for a change.
Maybe then they’ll see that God will NOT be mocked at all.
Do not allow this. Do whatever it takes.
> I think your outrage and attention are exactly what these silly idiots are hoping for. <
You well could be correct. And perhaps they are hoping for a backlash - one that would allow them to sue for a violation of their “rights”.
The so-called Westboro Baptist Church made a living doing that. They’d insult veterans at funerals. And they’d insult gays. Then they’d sue if anyone tried to limit their “right” to do so.
I remember the Westboro grifters.
I was worried it was going to be in California. But Kansas??!!
That’s good advice for getting into trouble oneself.
Who was that previous governor of KS who was diabolical, to say the least?
Could this be her legacy?
Who was that previous governor of KS who was diabolical, to say the least?

I’ve not heard of a diabolical governor of Kansas, but Kansas is kind of off my radar. We have enough evil in California.
Childish AND evil in intent, and a mockery of Christ. We offer acts of reparation because that is what Christ did on the Cross. As members of the Body of Christ, we are called to do the same:
"Now I [Paul] rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church." (Colossians 1:24)
This stuff is just juvenile cosplay trolling. Probably what happens when you get bored with Dungeons & Dragons.
Peak tornado season in Kansas usually starts in mid-April, but maybe, just maybe one could strike a little early?
The left loves their performance arts, which is probably USAID funded.
Ahhhhhh yes. I forgot about tornadoes! Those could be in the mix. Very plagues of Egypt kind of thing.
I’m still amazed that those Westboros didn’t get plowed over by an F-350 dually at 60 mph when they stood there laughing and celebrating dead soldiers.
