๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธPray For The Peace of Jerusalem ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ(2/26/25)[Prayer]

Names and Titles of God the Holy Spirit
(Judge of Whatโ€™s Good) Hebrews 6:4-6

4ย For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5ย And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6ย If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

King James Version

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD,
Our God,
How Excellent Is Your Name Over All The Earth!
We Praise and Worship You;
For You Alone Are Worthy;
You Alone Are LORD;
You Alone Are The One True God of Abraham!
Blessed Are You Oh LORD, Our God,
King of the Universe,
Ancient of Days,
LORD of Hosts,
Rock of All Ages!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

โ€The Greatest Of these Is Love.โ€

Today's Scripture Passage is what might be the most difficult and disturbing verse in the entire New Testament. Is the Author of Hebrews saying that there is a "Point of No Return" with regards to a Person's Salvation? If Jesus could actually forgive those who were nailing Him to the Cross, how could anyone be beyond forgiveness?

Different scholars offer their own interpretations. Some say that the person was never saved in the first place. Others say that the "Unforgivable Sin" is Blaspheming the Holy Spirit, so that's what this passage is about. Still others use it as an excuse for their own unforgiveness.

My take, which I humbly submit to you, is that, yes, it is impossible for some people to return to their First Love. We humans face a LOT of impossibilities. However, I don't recommend that we stop praying for those people. What is impossible with man is possible with God, because He is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. He knows the End from the Beginning and the Beginning from the End. He is never "caught by surprise". He is totally Sovereign, and yet is totally LOVE, at the same time.

So...don't stop praying. Nothing is Impossible with God.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

โ€ And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. The Greatest Of these Is Love.โ€ (1 Corinthians 13:13 KJV)

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Amen !!! <><

Psalm 146

1 Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord, O my soul!
2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praises to my God all my life long.

3 Do not put your trust in princes,
in mortals, in whom there is no help.
4 When their breath departs, they return to the earth;
on that very day their plans perish.

5 Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord their God,
6 who made heaven and earth,
the sea, and all that is in them;
who keeps faith for ever;
7 who executes justice for the oppressed;
who gives food to the hungry.

The Lord sets the prisoners free;
8 the Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous.
9 The Lord watches over the strangers;
he upholds the orphan and the widow,
but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.

10 The Lord will reign for ever,
your God, O Zion, for all generations.
Praise the Lord!

We recently discussed this in our local Bible in Hebrews. It’s up for debate, with all the possibilities you mention.

In context of the children of Israel, on the cusp of going into the Promised Land, it could refer to Kadesh Barnea, where they doubted God and refused to enter the land, though they saw of the miracles of Passover, the Red Sea... But when God said they would wander for 40 years, they repented, then tried to enter the land and were defeated. It was impossible to repent at this point. They all died over 20 years (except 2) and never entered the Promised Land.

Joining in prayer for our beloved America.

Indeed. That is the “Rebellion” spoken of in the verse.

Once again, the NT references the OT.
