Pope Francis’s Decade-long Reign Removes Church From Crucial Moral Debates
Intellectual rigor and coherence have given way to emotivism.
Alas, eleven years later, things have turned out quite differently. Over the course of Francis’s pontificate, the Church has become decidedly self-referential. Since the end of 2013, it has been consumed by endless attempts to relitigate questions that are effectively settled matters as far as doctrine is concerned, from who may be ordained a priest to issues surrounding sex. Segments of the Church — or at least the progressives who dominate those parts in visible decline — are keen to relive the chaos and experimentation of the 1970s.
This approach reflects a very different agenda from that of Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI.

Those days seem very far away now. In the Catholic Church, intellectual rigor and coherence have given way to emotivism and discussions centered on feelings. There is no question in my mind that the impetus for much of this shift comes from the top down. Clear arguments are regularly dismissed by Francis as mere rationalism, exemplifying rigidity of thought or reflecting ideological mindsets.

He’s a fraud. And he stacked the college of cardinals, so when he goes another fag loving commie will fill the shoes of the fisherman

This is brilliant: “Over the course of Francis’s pontificate, the Church has become decidedly self-referential.”
That’s exactly what has happened. Francis accepted the world and its standards and just thought his job was to tweak Church procedures so they were were conformed to it.

Don’t be so sure of that. Rorate Caeli, a very orthodox Catholic Blog on Liturgical matters has an article from 12 December 2024 which analyzed the Cardinals. They are actually more right of center and some turned out very orthodox, more so than one would expect from someone Pope Francis would elevate to Cardinal.
Pope Francis key principal of his Papacy was go to the ends where the Sheep are. In doing that he tended to appoint Cardinals strictly on whether he liked them or they were doing good work in evangelization in far off corners of the World. Thus, he appointed to the College more who has turned to be quite Conservative.
Check out the 12 December 2024 Rorate Caeli article. That is not a site that is in the same camp as the American Jesuit magazine (America).

Maybe he should not have tried to overthrow the government of the United States with US money from USAID. We are the only country that is always been free of Tyrants after we kicked them the f*** out
