Lord Jesus, you spoke to me the word 'casual Christian' How easy it is to slip into casualness and routine these days when keeping up with political affairs non stop.

Today we celebrate our love for others, but you have written a greater love story for us, greater than any temporary earthly love. Oh how deep is your love for your fickle children.

Lord Jesus I pray that we let go of all our distractions and allow your love to penetrate deep into our souls.

I pray that this love would not be self contained but shared with those around us, especially those in need.

Lord Jesus, we pray for the success of the Trump administration to break the stronghold of corruption imbedded in our nation.

Lord Jesus we pray for rapid success in the dismantling of human trafficking, especially child trafficking in our nation.

Lord we pray that you would soften the hearts of the people of this nation by exposing this, even in the compromised media.

Lord Jesus we thank you for those who have been released from false imprisonment.

Lord Jesus we pray that your church would arise to the occasion, to once again be a force of moral stability and conscience in our nation.

Lord God, our blessed Father

We pray the prayers of the righteous, not because we have earned that description by our goodness. We have been bestowed righteousness by our holy Savior. Others wrap themselves in a moralistic righteousness -- some even in our own camp of professing Christians, but especially the feigned righteous liberals and progressives.

Lord, these times remind me of the accounts I've read of Jeroboam and his followers establishing a counterfeit worship in Samaria -- fleeing from the established rule in Judah.
Behold, Father, just how morally outraged Schumer and the Democrats are at those trying to restore integrity to our government.

But Schumer and Company have entrenched allies -- lawyers and jurists--that very camp of unredeemed "scribes" which inveighed against our Lord.

Our petition is simple. Defeat them! Make a spectacular of them!
