Catechism of the Catholic Church
395 – The power of Satan is, nonetheless, not infinite. He is only a creature, powerful from the fact that he is pure spirit, but still a creature. He cannot prevent the building up of God’s reign. Although Satan may act in the world out of hatred for God and his kingdom in Christ Jesus, and although his action may cause grave injuries – of a spiritual nature and, indirectly, even of a physical nature- to each man and to society, the action is permitted by divine providence which with strength and gentleness guides human and cosmic history. It is a great mystery that providence should permit diabolical activity, but “we know that in everything God works for good with those who love him.”275
275 – Rom 8:28
One of the particular attacks the devil launches against us is something called “diabolical oppression”.
This involves more of an exterior attack from the evil one: “diabolical oppression involves those things that affect a person’s life from the outside.” (Charles D Fraune, Slaying Dragons: What Exorcists See & What We Should Know, Kindle Edition)
Renowned exorcist Fr Chad Ripperger states that “diabolical oppression can appear as inexplicable financial difficulties, such as the inability to obtain employment despite being highly qualified and applying for multiple jobs or being fired all of a sudden.
“Oppression can manifest and cause a person’s possessions to chronically break down, despite reasonable efforts to keep them in good order.” (Fraune)
Other effects that exorcists have noted are marital discord, illness with no natural explanation, the breaking up of friendships, etc, with the purpose of leaving the person isolated.
The devil indeed prowls about as a lion, as Scripture notes, but he is a cowardly lion who loves to attack us when we are in a weakened state.
Whether you pick up on strange supernatural things happening around your work, finances and relationships or not, there is someone we can go to for both protection and to counter these attacks.
My friends… I’m talking about calling the Woman who is called the “Tower of David,” who is called “Virgin Most Powerful”, I’m talking about the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother.
In the course of his ministry as exorcist, Fr. Ripperger explained that in one case he “was seeking to cast a demon away from a person’s property, which had become infested, he was able to get the demon to reveal that they only have permission to mess with the property, but they have no rights over it.”
“The demon revealed that the person has to clearly state his authority over the property to help break the hold of the demon. Further, the demon told Father that consecrating the property to Our Lady completely blocks the demons from acting on it.
“As a result, a prayer was written, based on the famous prayer of St. Louis De Montfort for those making a total consecration of themselves to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
“Father says he has seen much good fruit from people using this prayer.” (Fraune)
The prayer that Fr Ripperger composed is entitled “Consecration of One’s Exterior Goods to the Blessed Virgin Mary.”
Consecration of Exterior Goods to the Blessed Virgin Mary
“I, (Name), a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in thy hands the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.
In the presence of all the heavenly court, I choose thee, O Mary, this day for my Mother and Mistress.
Knowing that I have received rights over all my exterior goods, past, present and future; I relinquish into thy hands, my Heavenly Mother, all rights over my exterior goods, including my health, finances, relationships, possessions, property, my job and my earthly success, and I retain for myself no right of disposing the goods that come to me but leave to thee the entire and full right of disposing of all that belongs to me, without exception, according to thy good pleasure, for the greater glory of God in time and in eternity.
As I now interiorly relinquish what belongs to me exteriorly into thy hands, I entrust to thee the protection of those exterior goods against the evil one, so that, knowing that they now belong to thee, he cannot touch them.
Receive, O good and pious Virgin, this little offering of what little is, in honor of, and in union with, that subjection which the Eternal Wisdom deigned to have to thy maternity; in homage to the power which both of you have over this poor sinner, and in thanksgiving for the privileges with which the Holy Trinity has favored thee.
Trusting in the providential care of God the Father and thy maternal care, I have full confidence that thou whilst take care of me as to the necessities of this life and will not leave me forsaken.
God the Father, increase my trust in Thy Son’s Mother; Our Lady of Fair Love, give me perfect confidence in the providence of Thy Son.
Amen.”
If you’re not Catholic and want to debate/attack the merits of asking Mary to intercede, please hold fire. Thank you.
Demons lie. Consecrating anything to Mary is a lie. Mary has zero power to do anything.
Pray, read and study Bible, fellowship, and importantly keep your eyes and ears away from worldly garbage.
Yeah, you probably should have put it in Catholic Caucus (whatever that is).
>> The concept of diabolical oppression isn’t discussed widely.
Although after several years of hell-bent world government, the fact that there *is* a Spiritual domain and it *is* inhabited by forces of darkness as well as the One True Light is getting more of the well-deserved recognition and respect that it is due.
>> However, there is merit to understanding it and repealing it.
Amen to that!
all of the below things you quoted can sometimes break the human spirit. It is easy as to blame something out of your control as it is to believe that something else equally ethereal will save you.

that is as far as I will go.

It’s just fine right here, IMHO.
The best way to deal with it is to not give Satan any ground in your life.
Confess sin and REPENT of it, purpose to do it no more.
Forgive others.
Be careful of objects used in religions from other countries. Objects can come with demons associated or attached with them.
Don’t engage in occultic practices.
And MEMORIZE Scripture.
Jesus used that alone against the attacks of the enemy.
But you can't use what you don't know.
I have been dealing with it ever since first becoming a Christian almost thirty years ago. My mind at times becomes assailed by horrible thoughts. It doesn't help matters that I have bipolar disorder. The oppression began a few years before those symptoms came.
The enemy has attacked me in just about every way. I have too often been too weak to stand up to it. It has cost me career, friends, and even a marriage.
In the past few years I have been attacked on the job front. It has driven me to brink of bankruptcy. I start a new job in two weeks but I'm running on less than fumes at the moment and there are times when it's like I can hear the enemy laughing at me.
I have been oppressed. I have seen oppression. I have also seen full-blown possession.
The enemy is real. I have to keep reminding myself that Christ within me is stronger.
Stay away from Democrats and pray to your Lord every day
The Demoncrats have got it bad.
Also things like accident proneness.
People don’t think of that as oppression but I understand it can be.
Ok, now that’s funny.
Correct. Mary is dead and will be raised at the last day. She is not able to intercede nor is any other person BUT Jesus. He is our High Priest and we need no other.
I agree strongly. Thank you.
Have you heard of this before? That if you wake up at 3 am regularly it means you’re getting attacked by demons?
I just heard a religious podcaster say that. He said if demons ignore you entirely, then you should start to worry, because they are content with where you’re at.
This is great a 16-min video (it’s actually audio of a lecture with pictures) that provides some additional context of Oppression AND how to break it. It may be of assistance - God bless you.
