I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
AS WE BEGIN A NEW YEAR WE DO NOT KNOW THE FUTURE BUT WE KNOW WHO HOLDS THE FUTURE AS IT SAYS IN PSALM 139:16
YOUR EYES SAW MY UNFORMED BODY; ALL THE DAYS ORDAINED FOR ME WERE WRITTEN IN YOUR BOOK BEFORE ONE OF THEM CAME TO BE.
Heavenly Father, Master of All,
What tragedy has befallen our nation … natural and man-made! We ask for Your Mercy, Hope and Grace for all victims.
But the worst of all tragedies is our nation’s relationship with You.
The headlines of today read like Your Son Jesus’ Words in Matthew 24:3-13:
(The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age). Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:16)
With what is going on in the world today, the question on the mind of many is, “What does the future hold for me, my family, our nation?” As we begin a New Year we do not know the future but we know Who Holds the Future as it says in Psalm 139:16. Per Dr. David Jeremiah, The Psalmist wrote that all of our days were written in God’s “book” before even one of them came to pass. That means we can give thanks for the future today before the future arrives. If God has our future in His hands, we know it will be for our good regardless of what it holds. (Romans 8:28), The future entails the rest of today, not to mention tomorrow and the years to come. Starting today, give thanks for the future.”
We pray, Heavenly Father, that President Trump, Vice-President Vance and all elected officials will turn to righteous leadership seeking Your Will, Your Way. Please protect them and guide them and may the people say “Look what the Lord God Almighty has done!”
All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned, every one, to his own way. And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6
Lord, please bring us back into the fold and have Your way with us. Our future belongs to You, we are in Your Hands.

Amen to your prayers for our nation. Lord Jesus knows what lies ahead so we must trust him no matter what happens . Lord Jesus, thank you for your comforting words, Amen to

Lord, we pray strength and resources for the firefighters in California.
We pray that those guilty of facilitating this disaster will be removed from their positions of power and influence.
Amen. Father, we ask for undeserved favor; mercy. May a zeal for God according to knowledge overtake us.
