Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.
Proverbs 29:4 By justice a king builds up the land, but he who exacts gifts tears it down.
Proverbs 29:7 A righteous man knows the rights of the poor; a wicked man does not understand such knowledge.
Proverbs 29:10 Bloodthirsty men hate one who is blameless and seek the life of the upright.
Proverbs 29:12 If a ruler listens to falsehood, all his officials will be wicked.
Father, Thank You for Your word and it's timeless truths. We see this being played out in our own country on a daily basis.
We thank You for the election results and that President Trump was elected along with others who hold to Your principles. And yet we see a tumultuous few weeks ahead of us with the certification of the election and the Inauguration.
We ask for Your continued protection and presence to be manifest in all levels of government. That men and women of godly principle would continue to come into positions of authority. We ask that You would do a mighty work of revival among the political leaders in ALL branches of government. Give those who know you strong testimonies and opportunities to witness and those who don't know you open and receptive hearts to Your word. Bring Your Holy Spirit conviction on them to lead them to salvation. Give them wisdom beyond understanding to do what is right.
We also lift up the new Congress and the certification process. Please guide in the selection of the new Speaker of the House. Raise up someone who would take that position and be uncompromising on Your word.
We ask the same for the leaders of Israel. Lord, please bring speedy healing to PM Netanyahu.
Thank You that You so desire to see men saved and come to a knowledge of You and so we think You that we can be confident that You have heard and are answering our prayers.

Amen! LORD, during this time please prepare the hearts of nation's citizens - and of our world's - for the shifts about to unfold both in the visible and invisible realms! As metmom prayed: for the continued triumph of the righteous. The restoration of all that is good and true in both our politics *and* the greater culture!
Please renew the beauty of our land and of our cities. (Only YOU can make America great again.) Please revive our bones and flesh! (Only YOU can make us healthy again!)
We pray for Your grace and Holy Spirit to fill President Trump and all those surrounding him including his wife Melania and family, JD Vance and his family, Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, Tom Homan. The Secret Service. For RFK Jr, Tulsi Gabbard, and every other impending nominee and appointment. As well as the GOP. We commit Speaker Johnson's future to You. And for unity in Congress leading up to the Certification then Inauguration.
Regarding the polarizing issues of the day - we pray for healthy dissent to be the rule both inside and outside the Republican Party & MAGA movement. We pray for common sense and righteousness to be restored even among those who identify as Democrats or "progressive." Please remove the toxic, outright demonic elements from all parties. We pray for the spirit of peace and good will to reign among all our leaders and citizens. Including in the media.
Please help everyone respect and submit to the authorities You have appointed, and lend President Trump the gravitas of Your wisdom and favor as he officially ascends to the US presidency this historic second time.
