Join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media.

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Dear GOD ALMIGHTY, ETERNAL HOLY, ETERNAL MIGHTY, ETERNAL CREATOR, ETERNAL SAVIOR, ETERNAL LIGHT AND LIFE, how we thank you for this blessed season to rejoice in GOD our SAVIOR. Truly, with anticipation upon anticipation, from the moment when darkness was over the deep, and the SPIRIT of GOD hoovered over the waters, from the times the Prophets saw dimly and waited with wonder, and the hour when Bethlehem sat in a star filled night, THE LIGHT came, CHRIST WAS BORN, and IMMANUEL was with us. Thank you GOD of all CREATION and GOOD. YOUR opening words, LET THERE BE LIGHT, found their fulfillment through HIM and in HIM. Thank YOU.

As the Lyrics of the precious song ‘Oh Holy Night!’ sings: “Long lay the world in sin and error pining, 'till He appeared and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.”

Dear LORD, we pray, awaken those in darkness first to the reality of sin and shame. Grant them GODLY REPENTANCE that leads to Salvation. For there is where the soul finds its worth IN HIM, and hope is born. With the Glorious and Eternal outcome of falling on their knees, confessing that JESUS CHRIST is LORD to the GLORY OF GOD the FATHER and the good of their souls. SALVATION through the SAVIOR of the WORLD.

The Lyrics continue: “The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger, in all our trials born to be our friend. He knows our need, To our weakness no stranger! Behold your King! Before Him lowly bend! Behold your King! your King! before him bend!”

Blessed KING. Born King of the Jews. How compassionately and intimately You came to the people whom the FATHER had chosen to be a vessel from whom YOUR LIGHT and GLORY would shine through YOUR SON. We thank You Dear LORD, that once again, through our Jewish Brothers and Sisters in Israel, who have received YOU and are once again in their homeland singing YOUR Praise, teaching YOUR commands, lifting up YOUR NAME, and making their appeal through the ETERNAL GOSPEL, to be reconciled to YOU. Once again, may the SPIRIT hover, go where it will, reach into the darkness, and draw many into the saving knowledge of the LORD YESHUA the MESSIAH.

And we close with the Lyrics: “Truly He taught us to love one another; His law is Love and His gospel is Peace; Chains shall he break, for the slave is our brother, and in His Name all oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in grateful Chorus raise we; let all within us praise His Holy name!”

Dear LORD, we pray deeply for our Nation, for our families, for children and grandchildren, for the Nations at large who are in such upheaval, and the peoples within who may be beginning to feel the desire for a freedom. But one that can only come FROM YOU. Teach us, teach them, teach all the GLORY of LOVE, the POWER of the GOSPEL, the HOLINESS of the LAW through the SPIRIT, and the PEACE that is YOUR TITLE, Oh Prince of Peace.

Lord and Father,

We direct our prayers to Thee through our blessed Redeemer and seek to pray according to His will.

It is that time of year when we should celebrate our Savior's birth, sent from glory to this world to rescue our souls from the tragic fate of eternal perdition. That action, achieved willingly through His vicarious death, underscores the very import of the blessed birth.

Yet, though that Bethlehem child would eventually grow and finish His heavenly assignment, our country (and the world as a whole) has been easily seduced by that Child's arch-nemesis into turning a blind eye. So, inundated with the froth, we ignore the true meaning and immerse ourselves under palatable childish amusements. May the Almighty forgive us for such low regard and for this frivolous/contemptuous obeisance directed away from His only Begotten, and easily bestowed upon Rudolph, Frosty, Santa, Winter, and the Christmas tree.

We are reminded time and time again that Thou art patient but very zealous/jealous (Nahum 1) and obviously quite clearly aware that this once reverent occasion has been eclipsed, over-shadowed by the stratagems of the Bethlehem foe. And that the precious Gift, actualized through the Nativity, ought not be marginalized by such rank silliness.

In the Word we are cautioned time and time again about such hollow "religious"practices bring no pleasure to God:

I hate,
I despise your feast days,
and I will (ignore) your solemn assemblies.

(Isaiah 1)
Your feasts and your appointed festivals
I hate with all my being.
They have become a burden to me;
I am weary of bearing them.

Regarding other matters,
We continue to pray for the incoming president asking that You clear a path for his administration and the certification of the vote. Punish his vile opponents and those who are steadfastly set to impede his progress.

Finally, Father,
May Christmas become a time of heartfelt praise and thanksgiving for God's Treasure sent into our world, Christ, the Bethlehem Babe in the Manger, our valiant and victorious Redeemer.
