Holy Father,
Your wisdom encompasses every generation, for from the beginning You knew we would need a Savior. How grateful we are to receive this precious act of love from You, Lord. As we celebrate His birth this week, we ask You to make our hearts ready and willing to accept the most precious Gift that has ever been given: Jesus Christ, our Lord. Let every heart prepare Him room, and heaven and angels sing.
Father, for those who are serving our country away from their families this year, we pray for Your comfort and Your peace. We ask You to hold their families close to You as well. And may wonderful acts of kindness be shared with them during this special season of joy and hope. We pray for President-Elect Trump and his family, asking that they may pause and reflect on Your love and Your amazing protection of them especially during this past year. Thank You for all the many blessings you are bringing America as You work through this man and those he is choosing for his cabinet.
Father, please comfort the people of Germany who are suffering from the loss of their friends and family members during yesterday’s horrific act of terrorism. May our nation be alert to the consequences of open borders and leniency on those who have agendas of hate. Our prayers are also for Israel--- for the safety of her people, for the healing of her land, and for the salvation of every soul. Help the people of this nation to pray for Israel; for Lord, You are near to all who call upon You. May all flesh bless Your Holy Name forever and ever.
Merciful God, over 2000 years ago, our Precious Lord left the beauty and majesty of heaven to come and dwell with us here on this earth; and the impact of His life, death, and resurrection shall forever remain. Father, let the spirit of Christmas be stirred in us all, that we may share so great a love as this with as many as we can during our lives. We pray that others would see Jesus in us, in our words and our deeds. In the Name of our Beautiful Savior we pray, Amen.
