The Parish Church of St. Jerome is “an independent, inclusive, and egalitarian sacramental community rooted in the Old Catholic tradition.” According to their website:
St. Jerome Parish is a devoted expression of Christ’s one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church! Our priests say the Mass in a reverent way and teach transubstantiation. We maintain the threefold order of Bishops, Priests, and Deacons. We observe all 7 Sacraments (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Matrimony, Holy Orders, Confession, and Anointing of the Sick & Dying). We follow the liturgical year with its many feasts and fasts. We have a sincere devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the great Communion of Saints. And we adhere dogmatically to the Deposit of Faith as articulated by the 7 Ecumenical Councils of the undivided Church!
Describing themselves as an “independent, inclusive, and egalitarian expression of Catholicism,” they also “celebrate same-sex unions, honor our trans and non-binary brothers, sisters, and kin as made in the Image of God, raise women up for ordination, and have an open table where all Christians are invited to share with us in Holy Communion.”
To that end, on November 30, they held their first annual Friendsgiving Dinner and Ministry of Drag Show and Karaoke Contest Fun-Raiser, where proceeds went towards supporting their Peace and Social Justice ministry.
Notably, this was an “all-ages drag show,” where the “church” encouraged parishioners to bring dollar bills to tip the performers.
From the looks of things, however, it appears to have mercifully been a small, sad, garish event.

I believe the Old Catholic Church started out as a schismatic body due to a disagreement over Papal infallibility. Obviously this church has gone beyond schism to apostasy.
I’m not a Catholic but this ain’t right. They just keep pushing.

If you are Catholic, Morgana, there’s no reason to be upset. This church is not in communion with Rome. It is simply using the name “Catholic” to promote itself.
This church is part of a schismatic group called “The Old Catholic Church.” They are NOT in union with Rome.
I had a conservative activist friend who was a real “old Catholic.” He attended Latin masses and observed feast days that had long since been discontinued by modern-day Catholics.
