I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Dearest Lord, You are Mighty, Glorious and Holy,
yet, You desire a relationship with us lowly sinners.
We are amazed that You have invited us into Your Kingdom,
Your perfect and beautiful Kingdom.
We cannot fathom Your mercy. We cannot measure Your love.
Soften our hardened hearts, dear Lord.
Help us to return to You.

Lord, we pray that more people will seek Your Kingdom.
We pray that individually and collectively as a nation,
we will repent of our sins, our rebellion, and our stubbornness.
As a nation, let us no longer pursue wickedness and export sin.
May our culture once again revere decency, morals and goodness.
Let us not be a cursed nation, but a repentant nation.
Help us to return to Your Word.
Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out

Amen to your prayer for our nation. Lord Jesus, we know you hear the cry of those innocent who have been abused, imprisoned and murdered. Lord we pray for an end to this wicked business that has been allowed by our government. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Yesterday, the Orthodox Church celebrated one of my favorite Saints,Sebastian (Dabovich) of Jackson, California. He was a Serbian American who evangelized all over the USA and beyond. His evangelical mission was responsible for the establishment of the first Orthodox parish in Arizona, St. Stephen Nemanja Serbian Orthodox Church in Bisbee.
