About forty years ago, I had a VHS Tape called "The Music Box". I can't find it on You Tube or Rumble, but I know that it was once on there. (I REALLY wanted to share it with you!) Here is a quick synopsis: A man lives a very gray and boring life in a gray and boring city. He has a dismal job, an apathetic relationship with his wife, and no prospects of anything better. One day, he finds a music box. When he opens it, the room is filled with light, and Joyous Gospel music plays. A Gospel Group (played by The Mighty Clouds of Joy"), emerge from the Music Box, and dance around the man. He is horribly embarrassed, and shuts the box, stopping the music. He hides the box because he doesn't want anyone to think he's crazy. But, when he's alone, he opens the box and experiences the Joy within.

Soon, he sneaks away at every opportunity to open the box and experience the joy. Although he hasn't yet shared the Music Box with anybody else, his personality starts to change, and people notice.

Finally, he shares the Music box with his wife, and then, with everybody he meets, and they experience the Joy with him. I'll keep looking for the movie, and if I find it, I will post the Link.

As I said yesterday, The Holy Spirit is the Star of the Book of Acts. The Adventures of the Apostles would not have taken place if they were not filled with The Holy Spirit. Even though they had been sitting at the feet of Jesus, learning His Teachings, and witnessing His Miracles, the Apostles huddled together with other disciples in Jerusalem, keeping their "religion" to themselves. Jesus told them to WAIT, after all.

The word "Baptize" is from the Greek word βαπτίζω (Baptizo) STRONG'S 907). The word means "to be totally submerged" like a sunken ship. When a ship sinks, water goes into every available space. The bubbles floating up to the surface is the air being forced out as the water takes over. Now, the word has come to mean a ritual or ceremony, and the water is commonly sprinkled or poured.

At Antietam National Battlefield, there is a small white church that has stood on the site of one of the Bloodiest Battles on US Soil in History. The little church was called the "Dunker Church", because its adherents believed in "dunking" people all the way into the water, in the spirit of the word "Baptizo". (It is thought that this name "Dunker" was a bit derogatory, because they did things differently than the Establishment).

The Apostles waited for something dramatic to happen, a complete immersion in the Holy Spirit, filling every space and empowering them to go forward.

They would not be disappointed, as we shall see.
