This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14)

For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the LORD. So, live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.

Carefully determine what pleases the LORD. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said,

“Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and CHRIST will give you light.”

So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly but understand what the LORD wants you to do. Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the LORD in your hearts. And give thanks for everything to GOD the FATHER in the name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. (Ephesians 5:8-21)

FATHER GOD,

The LORD reigns forever, executing judgment from His throne. He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness. The LORD is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know Your Name trust in You, for You, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for You (Psalm 9:7-10).

Forgive us for not making the most of every opportunity these days. The Church has fallen into complacency, some even forsaking and reinventing Scripture and Your Commands.

Empower us to embrace who we are - people of light to produce what is good and right. Fill us with HOLY SPIRIT and with the Joy of the LORD. Give us boldness to take authority over evil in the Name of JESUS in the public arena. For You said:

You have not given us a spirit of fear, but power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). May pastors, church leadership, and parishioners repent of not being light in the public square and in government.

Send a Reformation to change our nation. Cause evil to flea from the light. May the United States once again rule with righteousness and justice. Heal our land!

Amen to your prayer.

Holy God, bring revival to our nation. By your Spirit, awaken and guide believers in the truth of Ephs 4: 14-32:

“As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of people, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;

“but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

“So I say this, and affirm in the Lord, that you are to no longer walk just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their minds, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;

“and they, having become callous, have given themselves up to indecent behavior for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. But you did not learn Christ in this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,

“that, in reference to your former way of life, you are to rid yourselves of the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you are to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

“Therefore, ridding yourselves of falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, because we are parts of one another.

“Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity. The one who steals must no longer steal; but rather he must labor, producing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with the one who has need.

“Let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if there is any good word for edification according to the need of the moment, say that, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

“Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. All bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice.

“Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.”
