Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Dear Father in Heaven,
Blessed Are You, Oh LORD,
Our God,
King of the Universe,
Ancient of Days,
Our Rock and Our Redeemer!
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise,
For You Alone Are Worthy;
You Alone Are Holy;
You Alone Are Righteous and Just;
And You Alone Are The One True God of The Universe!
How Wonderful Are Your Precepts,
How Precious Is Your WORD!
How Eternal and Sure Are Your Promises!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

God Bless America.

________________________

Every one of the Mobile Homes in my Community has a little yard. Even though we all pay the same lot fee, some of the yards are larger than others. Some are paved to serve as a driveway. Some have fanciful rock gardens, others have vegetable and herb gardens, and some are just plain grass (which needs to be cut.) Nearly every yard has a BBQ Grill, and some are more elaborate than the Kitchen inside the home. Some are Propane fueled, some are charcoal. Some are "smokers", and some have additional burners for pots and pans. Some even have revolving spits, and others have gas-powered ovens on the side. Along with pop-up gazebos and picnic tables, the neighborhood declares "Summertime is BBQ time". (As my friend Thad declared, "Mobile Homes are just one step up from camping!" He has a point.) Perhaps it because the kitchens are so small in a traditional trailer that cooking in the Great Outdoors has an air of luxury.

On Holidays such as Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day, everybody seems to fire up their grills around the same time. The aromas of Chicken, Italian Sausage, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Steak Tips, and Shish Kebab all rise from the yards and form a delectable cloud over the Park that can be sensed from the nearby highway. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

But, sometimes the meat is left on the grill too long. Either the Cook put too many burgers on the grill, or people had their fill, and there were no takers. Those charred bits of meat no longer smell good. Even the dog isn't interested.

In the Ancient Temple, there was a Morning and Evening Sacrifice. On the Sabbath and on Holy Days, there was even more. The Rules were explicit concerning the preparation of the animals. They had to be clean and healthy, without defect. Ritually slaughtered, washed, and then burned, the aroma at first must have been sweet and savory, like BBQ, but then, as fire consumed the Sacrifice, it would end up as inedible ashes. Whatever use the people could have had for the animal is lost. Remember, animals were the way the people counted their wealth. They were essentially burning their money.

In Modern Times, Charitable Contributions are linked to some kind of reward. Either a donation will snag you a T-Shirt, a hat with a logo on it, a swag bag, or even a bronze plaque on a wall. A REALLY big donation might get a wing of a hospital named after you, or maybe even an entire building. Nobody expects to get ashes for their generosity.

In this Passage of Scripture, Jesus is described as "The Sacrifce". He is the Sacrificial Lamb. Like the Lamb in the Temple Ceremony, He is a sweet smelling savor to God. He gave it ALL, including suffering a torturous Death on the Cross. He was "consumed" by the Sins of the World.

But, unlike the lamb of the Temple, the LAMB of GOD rose again, and will come again the Judge the Living and the Dead.

It is my Prayer that He comes sooner rather than later.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 82

A Psalm of Asaph.

1 God has taken his place in the divine council;
in the midst of the gods he holds judgement:
2 ‘How long will you judge unjustly
and show partiality to the wicked?
Selah
3 Give justice to the weak and the orphan;
maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute.
4 Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.’

5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding,
they walk around in darkness;
all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

6 I say, ‘You are gods,
children of the Most High, all of you;
7 nevertheless, you shall die like mortals,
and fall like any prince.’

8 Rise up, O God, judge the earth;
for all the nations belong to you!

John 15:13
Greater love than this no man hath, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

I’ve been sick the past couple weeks. The worst insomnia I ever experienced and now a stomach bug. We are hosting a Bible Club party for the kids Saturday so there is much to do but I feel 70%. Please pray God will carry me through. Thanks.

Thank you Sister. The poison oak is finally starting to go away, too. I think that was contributing to the insomnia.
