Our Father in Heaven,

When the first Crusaders entered Jerusalem and saw the Dome of the Rock, some of them assumed that the golden-domed structure was The Temple of Solomon. Occupying the site, they became known as "Templars", and, to this day, are shrouded in mystery. Some claim that "The Illuminati" are descended from The Templars, others say that the Templars were wiped out in 1312. Whatever the truth is about these historic secret societies, they certainly provide a lot of material for Fiction Writers and Hollywood.

Tomorrow is considered one of the saddest Holy Days among the World's Jewish Population. It is known only by its Calendar Date , the Ninth Day of the Month of Av. (Tisha B'Av) We have something similar in America. Most people know exactly what you are talking about when you say "September 11th".

Those of us old enough to remember 9/11 might also remember the plethora of coincidences that accompanied the tragedy. Nine-One-One is the telephone number you call in an emergency. The Twin Towers looked like a giant Eleven. One of the Airplanes was Flight 11 from Boston. There were more, and I have a list of them in a box that I have been holding onto for 23 years, through four moves and a total change in circumstances.

Tisha B'Av has a list of disasters that have allegedly occurred on the same date (on the Hebrew Calendar) for nearly three millennia. The most astounding one is that the Second Temple was also reported to have been destroyed on Tisha B'Av, in 70AD, by the Romans. While General Titus of the Roman Legions may not have been aware of the Date when he gave the order, God certainly was. (If you go back to the Tisha B'Av link, and read through the article, you will see the list of "coincidences" of disasters happening on the Ninth Day of Av).

There is a growing movement in Jerusalem to build a THIRD Temple on the site. Of course, there is that inconvenient Dome Of The Rock sitting right where the Temple should be: The Place where Abraham was prepared to sacrifice his son Isaac, until God Provided the Ram for the Sacrifice.

Islamic terrorists have claimed that preparations for the Third Temple (The Red Heifer Ritual) are what precipitated the October 7th Massacre and subsequent War. As if they needed an excuse. What has been the excuse for the last 1400 YEARS? (OK...Don't get me started.)

Isn't it interesting that World Events still swirl around that ONE little spot on the Planet? Makes you wonder, doesn't it.

In Today's Passage, Jesus solves the "Temple" Issue with one sentence. He IS Our Temple. In the Glorious Future in the Kingdom of God, there will be no need for a building called a "Temple" because we are in Him, and He is in us. He is our All-in-All, and no building, however magnificent, can hold Him in.
