I’m pretty sure Jesus dressed in rags and doesn’t care if I wear a tuxedo or not

I am completely sure you don't know what you are talking about.

Dressing for church like you dress to paint your house shows no respect for worship or liturgy.

Attending a public ceremony unwashed and ungroomed communicates a lack of respect for your fellow man.

True, but wearing bathing suits and halter tops and wife beaters is not appropriate.

Did you bother to watch the video? It wasn’t about wearing rags, it was about wearing inappropriate, body-flaunting clothing.

dressing neatly is a sign that what you are doing and participating in is special....

its not that I ever got that gussied up...but I wouldn't wear shorts or a tank top to church....or halter tops or muscle shirts...

“I’m pretty sure Jesus dressed in rags and doesn’t care if I wear a tuxedo or not...”

Are your serious? Would Roman soldiers cast lots to win his rags at the crucifixion? It was a seamless garment, very epensive.

God told Moses to tell the people to put on their best when they assembled on Mt. Sinai.

That’s what the people at my church say. These are the folks who wear torn jeans (for “style”), short shorts, jammies and stained hoodies.

At the time of his crucifixion, Jesus’ garment was well made and the Roman soldiers cast lots (threw dice) to see who would have it.

I’m pretty sure Jesus dressed in rags ...

I'm persuaded that is an incorrect assumption. The Messiah would have shown holy respect for the Temple of the Living God and worn the appropriate garments.

Then why did the Roman soldiers cast lots for His garments?
