Urgent prayers needed for Missionaries in Pakistan

Dear Friends,

We have a crisis developing at Bach Christian Hospital over the past 24 hours. One of our young Pakistani male doctors was seeing a female patient alone in a closed room in violation of hospital policy and she complained that he touched her inappropriately. This has caused a huge uproar in the community. When this happened, various bystanders attacked the doctor. He was not badly hurt but was taken away by the police for his own protection. We immediately fired him for this unacceptable, unprofessional behavior about which he had been warned in the past. The religious leaders have used this as an opportunity to stir people up and are whipping up religious fervor against the hospital. Pray that their efforts to cause harm or to shut down the hospital will fail. Pray that others from the community will rise up to counter these efforts. Pray for safety for the hospital staff. Pray that this will be an incentive for revival among the staff. Pray for wisdom for Dr. Ambrose, Mr. Zubaid and the Board members as they meet with some of the local religious leaders and deal with these issues. Pray that God's name will not be dishonored and that good will somehow come out of this very serious situation.

Thank you for standing with us in this time of crisis.

Listened to a podcast recently about the Pakistani rape and drug gangs of UK cities. Absolutely disgusting

Prayers for any Christian, non-muslim or foreigner living in Pakistan itself

My understanding is that Pakistan is actually a palatable and beautiful spot for Western tourists, much to the chagrin of the media’s hyperfocus on the terrorist networks post 9/11. And regions like the Hunza valley boast of ethnic and religious diversity plus massively stunning geographical wonders.

As a Christian myself, the missionary narratives and approaches to certain places have irked me the wrong way. It is my understanding for example, that postpartum and pregnancy care in certain Muslim countries (especially the hyper developed ones like UAE) put maternity care in the US to shame. Why was this doctor only warned and not fired immediately the first time?

Sounds funny. I am waiting for the punchline.

Anyhow prayers up regardless. I also knew a white American girl who grew up in Saudi Arabia and went to international school. And she commented how safe she always felt walking around the city streets compared to the states. Because there the punishment even for petty theft was so extreme. Pakistan scene:

Because the Lord appears to have called them there to preach the good news of Jesus. How will Pakistanis come to know salvation if nobody builds a relationship with them, and tells them about Jesus?

The doctor was foolish for his actions in that country, but it does not warrant the over reaction that has happened.

Prayers up for everyone involved.

My mother’s best friend since they were babies was a missionary in Pakistan for many years. She had to leave in the ‘70s because of unrest. It seems that there’s a political pendulum swinging there all the time. (Like everywhere, I guess.)

LOL, the most gullible species on the planet.

And here is beautiful North Korea:

Hellhole countries can have a small part that is scenic. It does not negate the rest of the sh*$%&*ness of the country.

Here is another example that we should not interfere in the muzzie world. Stay away from them as far as possible. They are incorrigible and cannot be reasoned with.

A country can have areas of great natural beauty, or even man-made wonders, and still be a source of great evil.

Austria comes to mind...

I’d rather be alive myself.

My husband’s aunt worked in a Christian hospital in Pakistan for years. They were not allowed to proselytize the locals. All they could do was treat patients. I was puzzled on how this was supposed to bring people to Christ, but never got the opportunity to discuss this with her.
