Paving the Road to Redemption "Behold I will send to you Elijah the Prophet before the arrival of the great and awesome day of G‑d"—the Prophet Malachi. Elijah will appear in order to herald the coming Moshiach, though there's much speculation as precisely when he will appear. his arrival, he will serve several other functions.

Elijah will appear in order to herald the coming of MoshiachThe prophet Ezekiel describes a climactic war, the Battle of Gog and Magog, that will occur prior to the arrival of the Moshiach. This topic is shrouded in mystery: we are uncertain as to the identity of Gog and Magog, whether Gog and Magog are the names of nations or individuals, whether this battle will be a physical or spiritual battle, and even whether it has already occurred or not.
According to tradition, the central personality in this war is Moshiach ben Yosef—Moshiach of the tribe of Joseph, who will be killed in this battle.

Ingathering of the Exiles and Settling in Israel One of the most important aspects of the Redemption is the promise of the ingathering of the exiles from the Diaspora, with all Jews settling in their tribal portion of the Holy Land. We are assured that no Jew will be left behind—including the Ten "Lost Tribes."
The Holy Temple, was destroyed by the Romans, will be rebuilt in Jerusalem, becoming the central focus of all humanity—as Isaiah says, "My home will be considered a 'House of Prayer' for all the nations."

Malachi 4:5
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
(5) Elijah.—There is no more reason to suppose that this refers actually to “Elijah” the prophet, and that he is to appear upon earth, than to imagine from Hosea 3:5; Ezekiel 24:23; Ezekiel 37:24; Jeremiah 30:9; that David himself is to come again in the flesh. When John the Baptist answered the question of the deputies of the Sanhedrim, “Art thou Elias?” by “I am not,” he simply gave a negative reply to their question, which was formulated on their misapprehension. On the other hand, that John the Baptist is the “messenger” of Malachi 3:1 and the “Elijah” of this verse is shown conclusively (as far as Christians are concerned) by Luke 1:16-17 before his birth, by Matthew 3:1-12, Mark 1:2-8, Luke 3:2-18, at the commencement of his ministry. Moreover, our Lord Himself assured the people that John was this “messenger” and “Elijah” (Matthew 11:10, seq.; Luke 7:27, seq.), and His disciples that he had appeared, and not been recognised (Matthew 17:11, seq.; Mark 9:1, seq.). Finally, it is a significant fact that these two greatest of Old Testament prophets, Moses and Elias, who are mentioned together in this last prophetic exhortation, are the two who appeared with Christ on the Mount of Transfiguration, when all that which is contained in the Law and the prophets was about to be fulfilled.

Jesus Christ, the Son of David and the Son of God.
Elijah will appear in order to herald the coming Moshiach, though there's much speculation as precisely when he will appear. his arrival, he will serve several other functions.
Elijah will in fact will appear in Jerusalem in person as one the the Two Witnesses (along with Moses - they symbolize the law and the prophets of the Old Testament) upon the great catching up of the church to Jesus Christ in the air (1 Thess. 4:17) and the beginning of Daniel's 70th Week (Revelation Chapter 11).
The prophet Ezekiel describes a climactic war, the Battle of Gog and Magog, that will occur prior to the arrival of the Moshiach.
Ez. 38-39 describes a sudden attack upon Israel by many nations lead by Iran. This attack will begin WWIII and Daniel's 70th Week (AKA the 7-year Tribulation) and this world-wide battle and its aftermath is depicted in Revelation 6:1-8. Seven years later, Christ the Messiah who is King of kings and Lord of lords will come "with ten-thousands of his saints" to earth to utterly destroy the satanic-filled inhabitants of the earth (Armageddon - the final battle of WWIII and the end of Daniel's 70th Week) and Christ will begin his 1000 year reign over the earth as the Prince of Peace (Revelation Chapter 19).
BTW, after Christ's 1000-year reign, Gog and Magog will rear its ugly head again but will be utterly consumed by fire from God the Father in Heaven (Revelation 20:8-9).
He is the Lion of Judah.
He will insure that Shi’ite won’t happen!
[O]ne of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and [b]to loose its seven seals.”Revelation 5:5-6.And I looked, [c]and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain
According to His signs in the skies at His Feasts, this is the time of the 2 Fish at Unleavened Bread, symbolizing His feeding of the multitude with 2 fish and 5 unleavened loaves..
It’s also the time of the woman clothed with the sun at His Tabernacles in the Fall..
Both those signs will eventually change to:
A man carrying a pitcher of water, at Passover.
And
A Lion in the Fall..
Someday the world will be in the age of Mark and Luke where the disciples are called to meet a man carrying a pitcher of water, at Passover, and follow him to the house and a great high chamber trimmed.
That instruction wasn’t given in Mathew. Just in Mark and Luke..
There was no man carrying a pitcher of water in Mathew. And there hasn’t been in His sky at Passover yet..
But there will be..
I would rather focus on The Diety.
The one who is forever, and created all things.
“I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him.
John 5:43
For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, ‘BLESSED IS THE ONE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!’”
Matthew 23:39
I do not think that Elijah will be paving the way for Baal.
Jesus is also your deity. A simple study of Jewish prophets in the Torah, the Old Testament, will confirm that, as will any Messianic Jew. There are none so blind as those who will not see. He who has ears to hear, let him here.
“I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Jesus in John 14:6.
The Book of Revelations (BOR) is NOT in Chronological order. The 1000 year reign has recently ended and Satan has been let out of the abyss. Just check out the whole world, it is satanic everywhere. There is no 2nd battle after Jesus comes back. When Jesus comes back, the anti-christ and the false prophet are both thrown alive in the lake of fire along with death and hades. Jesus defeats satan and his fallen angels and they are also thrown into the lake of fire. All who took the mark of the beast are thrown into the lake of fire. Those whose names are NOT in the book of life are also thrown into the lake of fire. This is the 2nd death and everyone in the lake of fire will experience the 2nd death, the death of the soul and will cease to exist. Then there is a new heaven and new earth, no more death, no sun, no moon, God’s light keeps everything bright non-stop. I suggest you listen to Dr. Michael Heiser’s 20+ hour blog casts on the BOR. I have spent 10+ years studying this and I use to think like you do. When Jesus comes back (at the sound of the last trump 1 Corinthians 15:52) He will take the dead believers and then the living believers. There is no 2nd battle, the 1000 year reign has ended. Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.”
“I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him.
John 5:43
Nevertheless, the Jews that refuse Christ now and enter into Daniel’s 70th Week, will soon after come to their Yeshua Hamashiach (Romans 11:26; Revelation Chapter 7).
Jesus told John,
Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this.Rev. 1:19.
That is chronological order.
There is no 2nd battle, the 1000 year reign has ended.
Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.Rev. 20:7-8.
Do not suppose that he will be leading horse-dick around either
