At the root of the word antisemitism is the word “Semite,” and the Semites were the descendants of Shem, one of Noah’s three sons. Genesis 6:10 tells us, “And Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.” The Semites were the ancestors of both the Jews and the Arabs. If someone is of Semitic descent, it means that they have either Jewish or Arab lineage. It is worth to note that when the word is used as the compound word, “antisemitic,” it never includes the Arabs but just the Jews.
The definition that I have arrived at, after more than two decades in that field, is as follows:” Antisemitism is the irrational and demonic hatred of Israel and the Jewish people, characterized by thoughts, words, and/or deeds against them.” It was satisfactory to me for quite a long time until a few years ago, when I decided to add two words that have become critical to that definition: irrational and demonic.
In all the volumes I own on that topic (more than 400), I have found almost no scholar or theologian mentioning a spiritual component to antisemitism. I have learned much over the years about the history, geography, sociology, and morphing of the oldest hatred, but I extremely rarely see the spiritual aspect of it all being addressed. Yet, we have to recognize that antisemitism is very irrational, and that is because it is from Satan himself.

Can you be anti-Zionist and not be antisemitic? There are many Jews and Muslims whom I know that feel that way. They have nothing against Jews as people of the book, but they regard the creation of Israel as a historical wrong. Zionism is very new, and with the destruction of the second Tenple and the nullification of the Jewish priesthood (which will never be restored) you could make the case that it’s irrational for post WW2 western powers and the US to have created a new country in the Middle East on land that was already populated. If anything Germany should have set aside a chunk of land for them. They certainly would have had an enduring peace compared to the endless war and enmity they now have.
There are many “Jews” who hate Israel.
There are many non-Jews who love Israel.
It’s a Spiritual War.

If you don’t consider modern Israelis as descendants to Ancient Israelites (deny the DNA tests all you want I guess) and deserving of repatriation of their ancestral lands - then you know where you stand.

How is the restoration of Israel as a country wrong?
If Israel had not been attacked and scattered, they wouldn't have needed to be restored to their own country. They'd have never left it, they'd still be there.
What is wrong with giving people back their own country? Isn't it just a form of reparations?
And besides, when Jews started going back, Israel was still a wasteland. There's a reason nobody lived there for a long time.

In the 1930s there were less than 50,000 Jews and 500,000 other peoples in the region now called Israel. Through the post war US based Zionist movement that saw mass immigration and militant takeovers of land that number swelled to 7 million and the demographics of the region changed radically. Prior to the founding of Israel, Jews were scattered to the winds and settled all over the world with nothing essentially tying them to that particular place, due to the destruction of their temple and priesthood. Muslims have an active major mosque built on top of the ruins of the Jewish temple and the Christians have Bethlehem as a pilgrimage site . So there many claims to that region . If only one narrative is permitted there will never be peace.
That doesn’t explain how the Jews returning to their ancient homeland is wrong.
