Attacks on churches have increased nearly 800 percent in less than six years, indicating that “hostility against U.S. churches is not only on the rise but also accelerating,” a Family Research Council (FRC) report found.
Between 2018 and 2023, FRC identified 915 acts of hostility against churches in the United States by analyzing open-source documents, reports, and media outlets. In just the last year alone (between January and November of 2023), 436 acts of hostility against churches occurred, according to the report.
“This was more than double the number of incidents in all 12 months of 2022, which was 195. It also marked the second consecutive year that saw more than twice the number of incidents of the year before,” the report states. “There were at least 96 incidents in 2021, 55 in 2020, 83 in 2019, and 50 in 2018. Over the entire reporting period for this report, from 2018 to 2023, acts of hostility appear to have increased in frequency over time”
The report notes that the increase “could be due in part to increased public reporting on crimes against churches, resulting in more available data than in the past.”
By category, 315 attacks in 2023 were vandalisms, 75 were arson attacks or arson attempts, ten were gun-related, 20 were bomb threats, and 37 fell in the “other” category. Seventeen incidents fell into multiple categories, according to the report.
Between 2018 and 2023, there were at least 709 occurrences of vandalism, 135 arson attacks or attempts, 22 gun-related incidents, 32 bomb threats, and 61 other incidents (assault, threats, interruption of worship services, etc.). In 39 cases, multiple types of hostility occurred (e.g., vandalism and arson), the report states.

Church isn’t really a safe place these days. If the faggotry doesnt get you the crazed religious bigots will
Trump is seen with a Bible in D.C.
Attack June 1st 2020 at St.Johns Church.
The Season is the Reason.
And it certainly looks like legislative demoniacs want it to be worse, by criminalizing church security.

Hence the reason so many of us at my church carry whenever we’re there. As to the proposed legislation making it illegal to have a plan and carry it out, the adage about being judged by 12 or carried by 6 still applies.
So did crime in general. Shopping for outrage.
If you are a member of a biblical church, what is your plan when Christianity is outlawed, your buildings seized, and your pastor imprisoned? I'm not kidding when I say that every congregation should have a plan in place now, of how to prepare for this possibility.
Form a cell group structure. Plan how and where to continue meeting for clandestine worship (study how Christians in China, etc. do it). Plan how to safeguard church membership info (that's one thing that probably needs to be locked down now.) Implement programs to disciple and team cell leaders to function as other leaders are targeted. Plan how to conduct outreach, more than ever. Make it difficult to impossible for church finances to be targeted and seized (use crypto/stablecoin accounts etc.)
Above all, prepare congregations because persecution is coming. It is the norm (John 15:20, Luke 11:49, 21:12, etc.), we have had the exception. People need to get clear in their hearts and minds that when Satan's emissaries come demanding "compromise" that bricks and mortar and worldly things are worthless - be ready to walk out of church buildings as they are seized singing praise to God, without being troubled about it, rather than clinging to such things with shameful compromise.
“disciple and teach” not team...
That is terrible.
The figures show about 190 incidents during the Trump years in the period of study. The remainder are in the Biden years, about 725. And the number of incidents has been doubling every year since Biden took over. Thanks, Joe!
I wonder what the final trigger point will be for the boogaloo?
As you say, we need to prepare and anticipate this before things go sideways.
