If you didn’t have the Bible, gathered together by the Catholic Church, what would you have?
We would still have the Bible, unless you think somehow God could not have given us the Bible without Catholicism.
Also I find it a bit disingenuous to keep making such claims, the Church is the body of believers, not the institution of Catholicism, or do you believe other wise?
How about we credit the body of Christ as the Church being the believers as Christ said it is.
We would still have the Scriptures given us by God through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Assembling the known Scripture into one book is hardly an act of great intellectual acumen and is NO reason for Catholics to try to own and control Scripture and it’s interpretation by retroactively laying claim for responsibility of giving it to the world.
Christians had the Bible long before Rome dogmatically declared their cannon at Trent.
This constant harping is ridiculous.
As if...
The Almighty God NEEDED the Catholic "Church" to preserve His Word.
You put God in a box - just like you do on your "altar".
...and just in case I'm not clear: The Catholic "Church" is a work of Satan.
