I saw Carville make this statement the other day. He went ballistic.

I have seen people on the Left say that Johnson violates the Constitution merely by reading the Bible in the morning before he goes to work (of course the Constitution says nothing about religion or the Bible).

Danny Sheehan (the famous lawyer) has decried Johnson as a fundamentalist nutjob and spread the rumor that his job is merely temporary.

The Left is using the logical fallacy "argumentum or reductio ad absurdum" (often used in debate) to attack their opponents. In other words, everything about their opponents (us) is taken to an illogical or absurd extreme.

Such tactic may be ridiculous on its face, but it is good for sound bites and memes.

In this case, just because Johnson is a devout Christian, they argue that he wants to make the entire country become Christian and burn at the stake anyone who resists. Just because he reads the Bible, he is a snake-handling neanderthal straight from the backwoods.

The same applies to Trump. Just because Trump wants to restore the country to its Constitutional foundation, he is called a dictator and tyrant.

Because the Left has eliminated critical thinking and has replaced it with emotion, the only way they can argue is by becoming hysterical.

The First Amendment says something about religion.

Why do “Carville” and “serpent” seem to be paired in my mind’s eye?

James Carville has made some very astute statements in the past (”It’s the economy, stupid!”) and yet wallows in deep visceral hate of the least inkling of moral standards and religious belief in others.

I see Carville as completely amoral, power is truly everything. It is only that Herself is such a particularly slender reed, that almost anyone with some moral strength could have beaten her in 2016. Trump did it with a great degree of style.

Well, there is a reason both parties fought so hard to keep Jim Jordan out of the Speaker’s chair.

Christianity could well be seen as a serious threat to their lifestyle by Satanist, progressive anti-Americans.
