In the beginning was the word.
I believe God has the power to create any way God wants to create ……. I do think man should not believe God is restricted in any manner to one method or another. God can do what God wants to do whenever God wants to do what God does. I cannot comprehend …. God’s methods because I am a lowly human.
Eh? Can God make a rock so big he can’t lift it up? No one created God. He always was and is.
Yes, Jesus is God. The ONE God.
The Big Bang theory does not contradict the concept of a creator God nor indeed of specifically the Christian concept of God.
Without a Creator, there can be no rationale for the laws of science.
Science without God is merely a jumble of disorder.
The answer is found in the athenasian creed. The Word clearly talks about there is the triune God. The Father is not the Son. The Son is not the spirit. But the father, son and spirit are God. God the Father has the work of creation. God the son does the work of salvation and God the spirit the work of sanctification. The trinity is in unity and there is unity in trinity.
It says in John, the only non-synoptical gospel that in the beginning was rhe word and the word made flesh. This notes that God is omnipresent. When viewed with Genesis it also confirms the Father is the creator but the father and son and spirit are present in the words of Genesis 1:26 “Let us create man in our own image.” Foreshadowing and linking the necessity God foresaw of a savior. The entire account of creation (days 1-5) only says God said “let there be….and God saw it was good (first person singular). Only when man is created is there first person pleural (we) confirming that God the father created but the other parts of the trinity (one God three persons) was ever present and is forever present. It must be this way for God becoming man to have been at the work of creation but not taking part in it. It provides the link of Christ’s perfection and as God the Son. The same holds for the holy spirit who proceeds from the father and son for sanctification.
There is a timeline of God revealing his fullness to us. First Creation, then Salvation, then Sanctification. But did Jesus create? No. Jesus refers to His Father on the cross when he cries out Farher forgive them. And again when he says into thy hands I commend my spirit. Distinct entities, but one God.
It is thus blasphemy to hold that Jesus was the creator. The perfect, inerrant word clearly tells us One God, three persons. All three are omnipresent and omniscient, but each has a work. It is an act of faith to believe this.
The Big Bang is the creation described in Genesis...
bkmk
Yep - God spoke it all into existence...science can’t explain how all matter was initially concentrated into a single dot that “decided to explode”.
Perhaps that dot didn’t exist until God spoke it and the resultant universe into existence.....
The big bang theory is a big bust. Virtually none of the predictions made about it were found by the James Webb Space Telescope.
I would add that on the cross Jesus bore the results of man’s sin - the first thing man/women recognized was that they were naked - Jesus was crucified naked. The first curse on man was that the land would product thrones and thistles for him - Jesus wore a crown of thorns.
I transcribed this one, which is part of a series.
