Five Miracles Atheists Believe
PatriotandLiberty ^ | 2022 | Don Batten

Did you know that atheists must believe in miracles? How so?

As plant biologist, Dr Don Batten, explains, there are many things in the universe that defy naturalistic explanations. That is to say, naturalistic explanations for these events actually _contradict_ the very laws of physics, chemistry, genetics, and so on, that naturalism is built on! Believing these events happened naturally anyway—in spite of the evidence—is like believing in magic!

Within his first issue autobiography, Charles Darwin considers the beginning of the universe. In so thinking, he said he felt “…compelled to look to a First Cause having an intelligent mind in some degree analogous to that of man…”
Darwin further felt “…the extreme difficulty or rather impossibility of conceiving this immense and wonderful universe, including man with his capacity of looking far backwards and far into the future, as the result of blind chance or necessity.”
Charlie believed!

Let me lay this one on you, I do a lot of driving and a lot of “thinking “ and a couple of thoughts occurred to me

First, why are there so many variations of trees(will stay with just trees but same could be said of all foliage), what evolutionary value is there in red oak, white oak, pin oak , multiple maples….
Yes there are certain species adapted well to certain climates, but let’s stick with typical say Ohio forest, then there are all the varieties of pines, again what is the evolutionary value of them.

Next my mind drifted to fruit trees. What is the evolutionary and survival of the fittest to fruit trees. Fruit trees expend a great deal of energy to produce a seed pod far more complex than other trees. Why, and I will postulate that the fruit trees were created to provide food, something “helicopter seeds” don’t at least not in the same way. Before someone says well this allows animals to be more likely to eat them and the spread their seeds therefore guaranteeing survival of the species , and that is an interesting take someone said to me. My thought on that was how many apple, pear, orange trees…. Have you seen randomly in a forest, in my experience none, most of not all are cultivated for their fruit not as a way to continue the species, but as a food source

Like I said I have lots of time to think so my mind wandered to other food sources provided by “nature” and the chicken came to mind. The average chicken lays close to one egg a day, fertilized or not, name me another bird that does that. What is the evolutionary value in that for the chicken, I can see it for those of us who consume eggs, but what value to the chicken. Seems the chicken expends a great deal of energy, has to consume a great deal of food to keep that level of production up.

I see God and His hand in almost everything I see, for those who don’t I feel pity for them

Thank you. Enjoyed reading your comment.

Here is one of mine. We hear how all animal/insect/human life forms came from one “simple” cell. Without going into that I have a question that few ever even mention. What was the food source for these early creatures? For the mutating cells? Where did it come from. They had to be nourished to survive.

When checking into where plants came from, I found that the theory is that they also began with one cell. It is rarely discussed. How convenient. So evolution of plants worked along side evolution of animal life and just so happened to provide the required nourishment. Some animals require only plants to survive and those also happened to evolve just in time when needed. Living creatures cant wait around millions of years waiting for their meal to evolve.

Nature, to me is my second Bible.
