Even in WWII they went to great measures to make sure the old churches in Europe were not hit. Lights were lit up all around them and pilots dropping bombs did their best not to hit them.
That was with WWII technology.
Israel could have missed this Church if they had wanted too.

The problem is that the vermin are not allowing civilians to leave. Dead civilians are Palestinian currency.

oh I have heard plenty of “Christians” speak deep hatred for Israel, it is called replacement theology and it is a doctrine of demons, will find it is a very common belief among Arab “Christians.”
You seem either very naïve and spiritual misinformed or willfully ignorant of the subject.

OWB. "the destroyed
annex of the Greek Orthodox Saint Porphyrius Church, the oldest church still in use in Gaza."
Your church has a building program, doesn't it? does it include modern materials? Well their Annex was built in modern times. Compare the upgrades to Chartres Cathedral:
Chartres Cathedral
"The present cathedral was constructed on the foundations of the earlier church and consecrated in 1260. ...snip...Several alterations have been made to the cathedral. The northwest tower’s distinctive spire, for example, was added in the early 1500s. Chartres emerged with relatively little damage from the political and religious upheavals of the 16th century and sustained less damage than most cathedrals during the French Revolution (1787–99). After a fire damaged the roof in 1836, a series of restorations were carried out during the 19th century."
Why should this church be any different?

Of course I care. I care deeply. But war is not a trifle. It is not a
game. Too many people use this group or that group as pawns. They start a war, and the moment the other side fights back, we get all this whining about civilians or 'proportionality'. People of all stripes get sucked in. Innocents get hurt. It is a special kind of Hell.
Those that start a war cavalierly should not be lionized. They are not heroes. Those around them should focus their anger at THEM. Starting a war creates far more havoc than the original purpose. Of course I care. But you can't fight a war separating the flyspecks from the pepper. It is a monstrous thing, war, and it has a way of careening out of control.

That’s here.
Over there, in Gaza and the West Bank, even if you don’t believe it, you better agree with it.

Hebrew-speakers call them Notzri (also spelt Notsri), which means Nazarene (originated from Nazareth). As of 2015, Palestinian Christians comprise approximately 1–2.5% of the population of the West Bank, and less than 1% in the Gaza Strip.

Israel could have missed this Church if they had wanted too.
Anti-Israel bias showing; many souls are being tested to see just what lies beneath the surface.
From the posted article
"As a result of the IDF strike, a wall of a church in the area was damaged. We are aware of reports on casualties. The incident is under review," the Israeli military said, adding that they "can unequivocally state that the Church was not the target of the strike."
Archbishop Alexios of Tiberias, who was at the site, said the strike "hit the offices and the entrance of the monastery," according to The Orthodox Times.

They are Christians. Why do you say so called?
Because of behavior, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."
Are you claiming Hitler as a Christian ?

Hitler was a Christian. The fact that you have a private definition of Christian doesn’t make it true. Anyway, who made you anybody’s judge?

You choose to own Hitler as a Christian. I do not.
Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time? Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

Typical pro terrorist/anti Israel bias; a Christian Church was not actually blown up;

“Had Charles Martel not been victorious at Poitiers… then we should in all probability have been converted to Mohammedanism, that religion which glorifies the heroism and which opens up the seventh Heaven to the bold warrior alone. Then the Germanic races would have conquered the world......Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?” - Adolf Hitler (To Albert Speer)

srael goes in and Iran will go through them like a salt enema.
Iran has been itching for the real thing for a long time and that president of their is like “Just give me a reason, Israel”
Now Israel has just pissed off the Orthodox community.
This is not going to end well.
Not for those who murdered Jewish babies, or their supporters; there will be judgement in this world and the world to come.
