The heartbroken father of a six-year-old Palestinian boy stabbed to death by his landlord in a hate-crime fueled by the Hamas-Israel war has revealed that his brave son's final words were 'I'm fine.'
Wadea Al-Fayoume, six, was killed on Sunday, allegedly by landlord Joseph M. Czuba, 71, who was renting the family a room in his home in Plainfield, Illinois.
The boy's mother, Hanan Shaheen, survived the attack and told police later how Czuba appeared at their door spouting hateful, anti-Muslim slurs.
He tried to choke Shaheen, who fled inside and called 911, then produced a knife on the mother and son. He plunged the serrated, military-style weapon into Shaheen more than a dozen times, and stabbed the boy 26 times.
Czuba was arrested outside the house.
Wadea's father, Oday Al-Fayoume, has spoken out, explaining that his son and ex-wife knew the landlord and had even shared a 'good relationship' with him before the horrific attack.
'It is hard to picture this man holding a knife about to stab my son,' he said.
'I keep thinking that my son was probably running towards him before getting stabbed, trying to give him a hug.'
Paying tribute to his young son, Oday told The Daily Beast that Wadea was 'basically a small angel in the form of a person'.
Wadea's mom suffered more than a dozen stab wounds. She remained hospitalized Sunday but is expected to survive.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, the boy's uncle, Yousef Hannon said: 'We are not animals, we are humans.
'We want people to see us as humans, to feel us as humans, to deal with us as humans, because this is what we are.'
The family moved to the US from the West Bank twelve years ago. Wadea was born in the US.

Watched a television news report about this on YouTube. It was reported that the murderer grew marijuana and was a heavy pot user. Will be interesting to find out if he was in the midst of acute marijuana intoxication when he did this. Long-term use is not good for the brain and is tied to increased incidences of schizophrenia. Sorry to those I may offend but I remain against pot legalization and don’t buy that’s it’s a harmless little drug that mellows. I’ve seen its devastating effects firsthand.

the paper seems to just be assuming it was for the hamas-israel war.
there’s DEFINITELY an agenda here but I really question if things went down this way. I don’t trust any of these people that make accusations based on their fake ‘hate crime’ theory.

There are plenty of people here that believe innocent children in gaza should be executed if not jewish. it has been shocking for me to read these kinds of comments. I guess the thinking is that there are no innocent children in gaza. I just can’t follow that line of thinking.
Plenty of child murderers have been coming through our uncontrolled southern border, since Biden stole the election.
