Church attendance across the Western world has dropped drastically—and continues to drop with every generation. In the USA, Generation Z church attendance is down to less than 9%. What is going on? Well, this is an issue I’ve been addressing for years, pointing the church back to the primary issue: an erosion of the authority of God’s Word and a lack of answers given to the next generation. So how can we stop this exodus?

Entertainment instead of instruction,
"Just be yourself" instead of "live for Gods will".
"Give us money and you'll get it back 10 fold" instead of "help the poor".
Be a nice person and youll get to heaven,
we dont talk about sexual sins, we bless sexual deviants. Love, love, love everybody and their life style.
Jesus said, If the world hates you, remember it first hated me. do not love the world.
I grew up in the Methodist church. I have great memories and enjoyed it . When the Churches started accepting the homos , lezbos and pedophiles everything changed. I don’t care what you say, that is behind the mass exodus and Jesus’s return is all that will fix it. The churches destroyed their selves and they will never get the worshipers back again.
When I attended the inaugural meeting of a volunteer group in the church, the pastor asked the member to introduce ourselves and explain how we found our way to this particular church. Two-thirds of the men in the group gave variations of this answer: ”I started coming here because it was the only Catholic church that was open during COVID.”
I consider myself a traditonal Catholic but I don’t attend Mass so I am bad....honestly, I need and old fashioned Catholc church and there isn’t one around here IMO....considered looking into the orthodox church.
I gave up on the King James Christian idea of “church” long ago. I am a Christian, I worship, I pray, I help, I celebrate.
What I will not do is attend a service in an ostentatious building of an organization that has become its own entity. A pastor, priest, or preacher is no better than I, yet he or she is elevated to some higher power worthy of my awe and devotion. I am also expected to pay this person to interpret the Bible for me, interpretations that are written to benefit the entity of organized religion, not its followers.
I have witnessed churches prosecute people for “stealing” food from the poor box.
I have witnessed ministers doing the most vile things to other human beings, getting wealthy, and living lives full of sin while taking money from those that can ill afford to support the depravity of organized religion.
The Catholic “church” alone possesses the monetary means to end world hunger, yet just continues to get richer instead.
I belong to a few organizations that help people in our communities. Not one of them demands to be paid by the people we promise to help.
Organized religion (of any denomination) is a business. I refuse to support it.
“ostentatious building “
Just for kicks ... try one of the little Baptist hole in the walls.
Rented store front in a strip mall sort of thing ... whole different world.
I’m Pentecostal... My preacher said if you feel bad after coming to church... Don’t come. I stopped going. I choose to have a personal relationship with god. It might sound strange to some..... But does Jesus take away his salvation after you believe in him as your saviour?
It’s kind of astonishing to read this kind of nonsense on this website, of all places. Do you really believe that “ending world hunger” is a financial exercise? LOL.
Mind you, we live in a country where government mandates require us to burn food as a motor fuel.
Interesting video.
I study with Shepherds Chapel and read the Companion bible, which is a great study tool.
Shepherds Chapel is on Dish 24/7 and streams on YouTube, so you can participate to learn and worship when you want, and you don’t have to deal with all the hypocrites and false preachers and profits.
Chapter by chapter, verse by verse is very hard to find in any other church.
The Church could start with a zero tolerance policy on priests abusing underage boys and stop instinctively protecting their own
A Pope who isn’t a Liberation Theologist might also help.
Preach the uncompromised word.
Maybe it won't stop the mass exodus, but if the faux Christians are leaving, then it has the benefit of purifying the church.
The WHO ridiculed Elon Musk for having “too much money”, suggesting that world hunger could be eliminated for $7 billion.
Musk replied, “Give me a breakdown on how you will spend it and I will give you the $7 billion”.
So apparently the WHO thinks that you’re wrong…
Been there as kid.
They still want money to show me how to worship.
One of the “ministers” beat the crap out of his wife, too.
Yeah, great people, great organizations…
Of course they do. Did they take Elon Musk up on his offer?
Of course they didn't. The WHO, like all useless bureaucratic institutions, is filled with morons who think "world hunger" can be fixed if everyone has EBT card they can use at their local grocery store.
Meanwhile, the WHO doesn't have a single person in a leadership position who has done any of the following:
1. Built a grocery store.
2. Run a grocery store.
3. Planted a crop.
4. Harvested a crop.
5. Produced a single food item that is sold in a grocery store.
6. Used an EBT card.
Good Lord ... where does FR find these people?
The Catholic "church" alone possesses the monetary means to end world hunger ...
... to this ...

Do you even read what you post before you make a fool of yourself here?
This is a sad, sad thread. I hope and pray it’s not representative of all of FR.
All due respect to those who are giving their opinions because I believe they are heartfelt to you…….
Simply …..God has given His pure Word, to us.
Jesus Christ died for our sins.
A good and true pastor will preach according to God’s Word, and nothing else!
A good pastor knows that Christians are sinners saved by grace.
…..including the pastor!
The message is simple yet profound.
Love, forgiveness, hope, reconciliation, surrender, mercy……those are Christ’s attributes and gifts to us.
Don’t turn away from the Word because of erring people in a church.
There are Holy, sold out to God churches still….
Please search and ask God to direct you.
Blessings
