As this pontificate winds down, the Vatican has launched a self-destructive campaign to destroy one of the few growth areas in the Church: the Traditional Latin Mass. The disruption this is causing should not be overstated, as traditional Catholic communities are split apart, and well-meaning Catholics are driven to despair and fringe ideologies, by the cruel words and actions emanating from Rome towards orthodox Catholics. All of this cries out for prayer, penance, and reparation- and a visible, public show of support for the Traditional Latin Mass. That is why we are holding the National Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage- our third- tomorrow.
If you are in or around the D.C. area, please join us tomorrow at 10 AM at St. Thomas More Cathedral! RSVP here: https://fb.me/e/6ekdaY0Wr.

So the Cathedral in DC is named for Matthew the Tax Collector? I think that’s kinda funny.
I fail to find humor in that. No more than thinking a Cathedral named after St. Paul is “funny”.
Well, explaining humor usually doesn’t work but…. DC is where our tax money goes, so having the Cathedral there named after a repentant tax collector just sort of made me chuckle, somehow.
I’ll grant you it’s not the wittiest observation I’ve ever made.
Never mind.
He was a repentant tax collector though.
