(2 Peter 1:20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. (Isaiah 28:10) For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: (Isaiah 28:13) But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
—> This business about Rome being the OTC, over all is complete balderdash
It is what they were taught by men in the “discount costumes” as my Catholic uncle called them
“Either the Greek matters, or it does not.”
Much like the Scriptures overall. If you discount or ignore just one thing, then you don’t have to believe any of it.
The angel greeted Mary . “Hail, graced-one”
Is it a special grace?
What is this Grace, what is it's purpose?
And Why?
—€ Is it a special grace? What is this Grace, what is its purpose?
The context reveals this.
Scripture foretold a virgin would conceive and give birth to Messiah.
Every Jewish women hoped to be the one to bear Messiah.
Gabriel revealed Mary was to be this woman.
God chose Mary to bear Messiah.
Gabriel is revealing Mary is highly graced by God to be the chosen virgin.
He said, “O man of high esteem, do not be afraid. Peace be with you; take courage and be courageous!” Now as soon as he spoke to me, I received strength and said, “May my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.” Daniel 10:19
So he came near to where I was standing, and when he came I was frightened and fell on my face; but he said to me, “Son of man, understand that the vision pertains to the time of the end.” Daniel 8:17
Then the angel of the LORD said, “O LORD of hosts, how long will You have no compassion for Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, with which You have been indignant these seventy years?” Zecheriah 1:12
yeah... I want that guy fired.
Now.
You are correct sir. Nimrod, Semiramis and Tammuz. I think the religion of Nimrod, was widespread in the world, when Jesus walked the earth, and, still is today.
In the remainder of the text Gabriel addresses simply as Mary. No new title. No proclamation of being sinless or anything like that.
The early church was rife with syncretism wherein evangelists would tell various goddess worship cults that Christianity wouldn't be alien to them because it has its own "goddess" (i.e., Mary).
In other words, "Become a Christian and bring your goddess with you."
It is interesting that those who worship Mary don't realize the pagan/demonic origin of it. It isn't Mary they are worshiping, despite what they might think.
Sounds like a losing proposition to me, MM. 😀😀😁
I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I have heard that Mary didn’t really know for sure, what Jesus’ mission was, till he walked out of the tomb.
“It is interesting that those who worship Mary don’t realize the pagan/demonic origin of it.”
And that idea of mother-son co-reigning is a very old pagan concept, long before RC embraced it. It’s all pagan.
—> letting the Catholic Church lead people astray
God is long-suffering.
Noah preached for +100 years, and God allowed the worst evil to continue.
Israel was horribly evil for hundreds of years before God allowed the Babylonians to come over the hill
The world has continued on in evil for +2000 years since the resurrection… but time is running out before the tribulation begins.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
Goddess worship probably runs back to the antediluvian period. Which brings to mind fallen angels and The Nephilim.
—> I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I have heard that Mary didn’t really know for sure, what Jesus’ mission was, till he walked out of the tomb.
I think that is likely correct.
She knew everything eventually.
——>and allow the for the splintering into hundreds of different denominations
letting them each say “they” each all have the “truth” now, no one else...
Maybe a good place to start for any “Christian”, looking for the “truth”...
Revelation 12:17And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the REMNANT of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Keep the commandments of God, have the testimony of Jesus Christ
Many “churches” invoke the name of Jesus Christ, but they dump on the commandment requirement, as clearly seen here:
Matthew 7:21Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of LAWLESSNESS!’
Yes. I can’t remember for sure, but when the Israelis were worshipping the queen of heaven, didn’t that get them into the Babylonian captivity?
Often, when there was idol worship, Astarte was there. Even King Solomon, when he was very old, worshiped Astarte (1 Kings 11:5)
Even in jest, I would strike that comment...have it deleted and pray over it.
Seriously.
So did James and Jude, the half brothers of Jesus, the natural sons of Mary and Joseph, after they did the evil deed (sex) We don’t know if the other half brothers and sisters of Jesus became believers, but I hope they did.
