Episodes of Protestia Tonight and Bible Bashed can be downloaded on all your podcast apps .
On Protestia Tonight, David discusses the virtue-signaling pronoun ban in Michigan, Andy Stanley’s continued minimization of the Bible, and Dan Darling finger-wagging at the Babylon Bee for satirizing Biden. In the PT VIP, we discuss the times women can preach, starting locally with our reforms and the most obvious evidence that James Merritt should not be trusted.
On Bible Bashed, Tim and Harrison delve into the topic of “me time” for introverted spouses within the context of marriage. They say while it is ok to do some things by yourself, we must also consider the biblical teachings on selflessness and putting others’ needs above our own and that its important to differentiate between healthy hobbies that involve being alone and using “me time” as a means of avoiding or withdrawing from the responsibilities of marriage.

Jesus needed down time/me time, too.
If He needed it, we do.
Another perspective is that if indeed, we are supposed to put others above ourselves, it applies to everyone, includiong those selfish enough to demand everyone else be *unselfish* and cater to their every demand.
People don't realize that letting others have their space and down time is also putting others ahead of yourself.
I’m waiting for Andy Stanley to declare that the Bible has been replaced with “I’m Okay, You’re Okay.”
Sounds like he is an idiot on several topics. What’s that called again? A poly-idiot?
Wrong to satirize Biden, women preaching, never having alone time when you in a marriage.
He’s also fat, indicates bad moral character, no self control.
I actually agree with you.
I don’t know what this podcast has to say on it as I’m listening to it now.
I’m also interested in what went on with the Babylon Bee I had not heard that one.
Me time... My cousin built a tiny “pout house” - about 12’ x 12’ - on their property for his wife where she could go read, sew, etc., when she got overwhelmed. His first wife died when their youngest (of 5) was 6 months old. He married a woman who had 5 kids. So being a mother to 10 was overwhelming sometimes.
He made the pout house off limits to the kids. He’s a sweet guy. She’s an amazing woman, too. Kids are grown now.
Andy Stanley is a weak mega pastor.
Referring to Dan Darling...
Stanley is a modern day Marcion. Disregard any scripture that interferes with your theology.
At this point, I give Andy Stanley 18 months before a major scandal turns him into a construction worker
What an odd question. Is this in some esoteric theological context, or a sincere question? I'm not sure what introversion has to do with needing "me time"/space for oneself. If one is in their own head too much, they may need the escape.
yes.
yes.
While i’d like to see that I doubt it will happen. Unfortunately, false prophets like this seem to prosper.
Nothing wrong with a little time to self....as long as it doesn’t become all the time to yourself and you cut away from the family.
Your last paragraph..... absolutely!
That’s exactly right.
We do not give up our identity when get married and become just an extension of the other person.
We need to remain somewhat independent because that other person will not always be there and you still need to be able to function when they are not.
It gives you time to miss each other.
+1
