Televangelist Joyce Meyer shared with her followers that she’s on the mend and doing better after taking a fall last month that saw her break an ankle and have surgery that resulted in a blood clot forming, resigning her to a wheelchair all last month.
80-year-old Joyce Meyers is long thought to be one of the ‘Big three’ heretics, along with Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn. Popular with women and effeminate men, the famed multi-millionaire televangelist’s ministry brings in over $100 million yearly and is known for her word-faith teachings. We tagged her recently after it was revealed she was paid by Hillsong $150,000 for one sermon, and has a long history of collecting sky-high honorariums.
She has a bizarre view of the atonement where Jesus paid for our sins in hell, believes that Jesus stopped being the Son of God for a time, that Jesus had to be born-again, that Jesus went to hell in our place and was tormented, that if you don’t believe Jesus went to hell, you cannot be saved, and that the scripture teaches that we are little gods. This is all while claiming that she routinely receives revelation from God and the angels.
In a June 29 message she explained:
As you know, I’ve had some down time because of a fall that I took, a broken ankle, and a back surgery that developed a blood clot and caused problems in the other leg. And I’ve actually been in a wheelchair for the last month, but today, I got some really good news. I went to the orthopedic doctor and they completely took me off of the wheelchair. I have to wear a walking boot for three weeks, but I’m on full weight-bearing, which is amazing.”
Now that she’s back and in better health, Meyer is engaging in more theological mischief, speaking at an upcoming conference with Sadie Robertson Huff, Lisa Bevere, and Trinity-denying Modalist T.D. Jakes that is sure to be chock full of false teaching and bad takes.

Good news. Back on the fund raising trail. This religious gig really pays handsomely if a person is willing to make some . . . concessions to applying the Bible to your worldly and earthly benefit.
I wish her good health, I really do. However, knowing these televangelists, she will have a miracle and will walk again as if nothing has happened.

This is a horrible thing to say but why not go over to her friend Benny Hinn’s show and have him knock her out of that wheelchair with “The Force”.
Not a fan, but I don’t find it necessary to go out of my way to say nasty things about people I don’t agree with. May the Good Lord grant her healing.
Hate to tell her, but there won’t be a luggage rack on her hearse.
She appeals to women of a certain age. The plastic surgery should be a clue. Are women supposed to be preaching? Just asking.

Most 80 year old grandmas don’t spend their time lining their pockets.....sorry, I’ve never liked her. Kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and family. That’s the normal focus at 80, if you’re blessed enough to still be on this side of the sod.

Same here. Not that it matters much, but I classify Meyer more as an entertainer and less as a pastor. From what I can tell, she is not a fraud like Robert Tilton is, for example. I wish Meyer the best, the same as I would wish a sick musician or a sick plumber.
American evangelists, bull$hitting the American public since the turn of the 20th Century. What a shame. She makes Elmer Gantry look like a piker.

Whatever one may think of Meyer's theology, this is an unnecessary dig. Back when I was much younger and less particular in my theology, I was impressed by her willingness to be a strong feminine influence in evangelical Chrisianity, unlike, say, Tammy Faye Bakker, or later Paula White, Trump's Evangelical in Residence, and whatever one may think of me, I am not effeminate.
Meyer is the same age as our present President. If Biden were to have Meyer as an advisor rather than his hard-leftist Catholics who tell him he needs to promote abortion until after birth, support every possible sexual perversion anyone can ever come up with, and use government force to steal from, kill, and destroy those who actually promote Christian doctrine, Catholic and otherwise, we would be much better off.
Meyer is not the best choice for Christian teacher, anymore than Paula former-White is for Trump--and I hope Trump has better judgment in his spiritual advisor as in all his other advisors when he regains his office--but if I had to choose between Joyce Meyer and James Martin, or Paula White and Jeremiah Wright, it would not be a difficult choice.
Please stop! I am no fan of hers believe me, but at the same time she is a very famous author who has many many best selling books. Yes, she’s one of those prosperity evangelist, but let God judge her. To say that she’s fundraising is a stretch. She makes her fortune from the bulk of her merchandise and books. No crime in that! The crime is at the White House where the bastards are selling America down the tubes to foreign enemies. Sooner or later, at the rate the demonRATS are choking America, there won’t be a nation left to criticize evangelists or Christians.
