NAR ‘Apostle’ and heretic extraordinaire Brian Simmons continues saying weird and wonky things, claiming that the Holy Spirit is feminine in a newly unearthed video and lamenting, ‘I don’t know why we don’t talk to Her.’
It’s a strange claim, given that The Passion Translation of the bible refers to the Holy Spirit as a ‘he,’ countering his own claims. (Simmons is the author and creator of TPT. He claims that during a trip to heaven, Jesus appeared to him and gave him “secrets” of the Hebrew language, which is the basis of the book_
In a message preached at a Passion for LA event, put on in conjuction with Bethel’s Schools of Supernatural Ministry, Simmons makes the following claim:
Isaiah 4 verse 3 ‘it’s the spirit of fire that cleanses the daughters of Jerusalem’ which is a picture, the women of Zion is a picture of churches, local churches are feminine. Jesus is not coming back for a husband, and the bride is his (favorite?) We are feminine in his eyes, we are feminine.
By the way, did you know the Holy Spirit in both Greek and Hebrew is always feminine? But nobody would want to talk to Her that way. I don’t know why we don’t talk to Her. I think we got an issue or two but that’s alright.”
h/t to Revealing Truth for the video and the thumbnail, which I stole from his video. +video on link+

Another wolf, apparently.
Never heard of the guy but found some bizarre stories about him on Protestia so I thought I’d share them. I figured someone here might have heard of him.
He sounds like he’s “out there”
I’ve heard a person or 2 talk about “The passion Bible”. Utter and complete bilge. Nope. No way. No thanks.
Yea I just posted about that. I see your point. This guy is a snake oil salesman.
Hey Brian, I am not a biologist so I don’t even know what a woman is. Do you?
I only talk to strange women lying in ponds distributing swords.
Excellent
When they built the Tower of Babel, a pathway to heaven..by man.. God came down and said NO, and scattered them across the earth and jumbled their language so they could not communicate.
Messing with things only God can do or should do, might not set well in heaven. This guy wants to make waves.. when God has had enough........
More likely just a simpleton who was too stupid to refrain from asserting heady theological conjecture as established fact. Got his ego out there too far over the tips of his spiritual skis and the result is predictable.
God everywhere employs the masculine in self-reference.
He chose to take the masculine form in his incarnation.
But it is also true that all feminine traits were conceived in God, as well as all masculine traits.
So if God is male as we understand being male, if God’s choice to self-reference in male terms is tied to masculine traits of being — potentially extending right down to whatever we might construe as God’s actual physiology — then where did God come up with all the uniquely feminine traits formed in Eve and all of her daughters?
Put another way, if Adam being “in the image of God” bears God’s masculinity, because God is, in fact, masculine in the respects in which Adam is masculine, then wherefore Eve, who is decidedly NOT masculine? Genesis says “in the image of God He created THEM.” So how are BOTH human masculinity AND human femininity “in the image of God” if God is masculine as we construe it?
These thoughts drive a great surmise as to whether or not God is, in fact, “male” as we would perceive that, or if God’s choice to be incarnate as male and to self-reference in male terms is something done to express how we humans may best relate to God; how we may best construe the manner in which God desires us to understand our relationship.
We know, for instance, that in Heaven we shall be like the angels, neither being married nor being given in marriage; there’s an active declaration that the implications attached to being male or female in Heaven are not the same as our mortal experience.
And it could be conjectured that Jesus’ incarnation as a human male may have been to ensure his ability to successfully gain a hearing and credibility as a teacher in the culture of that day; that what needed to be achieved simply could not have been achieved had God chosen incarnation as a human female.
But it simply MUST be established that this is ALL theological cigars-and-cognac type bandying about of ideas that cannot be carried beyond wondering, conjecture, and postulation. For some dolt, then, to run off at the mouth and gush as if any of it is factually established with any real Scriptural support is nothing but a ghastly absence of wisdom.
Our best recourse in this life is, manifestly, to take our cue from Scripture and construe God as male: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit likewise. We have the testimony of the few who have seen God, and these witnesses describe God in male terms. Jesus told his disciples, “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father,” and Jesus’ manhood is beyond doubt.
I think that when we at last see God as He truly is, He will be other than, and far beyond, anything we expect. But for anyone to go about in this terrestrial sphere declaring as if it’s known, established fact that God is in form or essence other than how God has chosen to self-identify in Scripture — that’s just foolishness.
I agree.
