The president promised new steps to sever "spiritual ties with the terrorist state."
On June 22, 2023, Volodymyr Zelensky announced new steps towards the "spiritual independence" of Ukraine. He announced this in an evening video message posted on social networks.
“Held a meeting on the spiritual independence of Ukraine. We continue the relevant work, and there will be new steps," Zelensky promised. “Obviously, there can be no spiritual ties with a terrorist state and those who justify the killing of Ukrainians and cover up evil.”
The President said, "We will reach the point where all kinds of dependence on Russia, which someone somewhere is trying to manipulate with, will be destroyed."
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Tkachenko did not rule out the forced eviction of the UOC from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

Ukraine needs to pass laws requiring Ukrainian as their official language and then banning Russian in government, in the media, and the public schools. And send the Russian clergy/spies back to Russia.

Russia isn't 100% on religious freedom and has an established church. But any religion that had a presence in pre-Bolshevik Russia is free to practice starting with Yeltsin. Yes that includes Jews.
And ask yourself why do people who claim the war in Ukraine is none of our business in the USA, and that we should stay out of it have such an interest in posting articles about how Russian controlled churches in Ukraine are treated?
It seems like they are much more interested in Russia and Ukraine than somebody from the USA who is only interested in our nation's interaction with Ukraine.
Ukrainians are more religious and traditional than most Americans.
