Do what now?
What you typed does not make any sense.
It’s hard to guess at what you were trying to say.
This guy is simply a First day Adventist. Good for him! He don’t buy that idiotic theology of today that does away with the 10 commandments. Sin is defined as “transgression of the law”....he knows what sin is. This guy is my new hero! A man with conviction! So rare these days. Protestants used to believe what this guy believes.
Today’s evangelicals are weak, shallow, will buy what their pastor teaches and all because the pastor hates the Sabbath. This guy must have read what John Wesley said about the 10 commandments......
Oh man this is so timely here! He makes you all look so weak and stupid frankly to believe the 10 commandments can be changed or are “jewish.”
It’s the Sabbath you hate. Football on Sunday, shopping on Sunday, Golf maybe.....you don’t even keep Sunday! Love this guy.
John Wesley on the Sabbath too:
This ‘handwriting of ordinances’ our Lord did blot out, take away, and nail to His cross. (Colossians 2: 14.) But the moral law contained in the Ten Commandments, and enforced by the prophets, He did not take away.... The moral law stands on an entirely different foundation from the ceremonial or ritual law. ...Every part of this law must remain in force upon all mankind and in all ages.
—JOHN WESLEY, Sermons on Several Occasions, 2-Vol. Edition, Vol. I, pages 221, 222.
Christ Jesus stated (paraphrasing) that He did not come to refute or oppose the Old Testament. He came in fulfillment of the Old Testament. The Old Testament is the word of God Almighty. The Holy Father to whom Christ Jesus prayed while here on earth in the flesh.
I think he’s saying the Sabbath use to be observed and honored…….
…in the South we had Blue Laws and liquor wasn’t sold and stores were closed, etc
Whoa buddy, step away from the bottle
Yeah, the Pharisees were after Jesus for breaking the Sabbath and healing people and gleaning wheat and eating it on the Sabbath.......Oh...Wait, Um....Hm.
I really didn’t think he would win.
ROMANS 14: 5
The law of Moses consists of more than 600 individual laws, or commandments, including the 10 main ones.
(How many is he keeping?)
The Law was not given to all humankind.
God made a covenant, or an agreement, with the descendants of Jacob, who became the nation of Israel.
God gave his laws to this nation only.
The Bible makes this clear at Psalm 147:19, 20.
Then why the Law?
What purpose was it that God gave his law to Israel?
Paul answered: “To make transgressions manifest, until the seed should arrive to whom the promise had been made . . . Consequently the Law has become our tutor [or, teacher] leading to Christ.” (Galatians 3:19-24)
The special purpose of the Law was to protect and guide the nation of Israel so that they might be ready to accept Christ when he arrived.
So when Christ came and gave his perfect life as a sacrifice, what happened to the Law?
It was removed. “We are no longer under a tutor,” Paul explained. (Galatians 3:25)
The removal of the Law was a relief to the Israelites. It had shown them up as sinners, for all of them fell short of keeping that Law perfectly.
“Christ by purchase released us from the curse of the Law,” Paul said. (Galatians 3:10-14)
The Bible also says: “Christ is the end of the Law.”—Romans 10:4; 6:14.
Was there a recent SDA meeting or memo to push the SDA cult garbage on this free Republic platform?
Do the cultists get paid, or eternal rewards by the post, or the number of people they annoy?
I certainly hope y’all are donating heavily to the owners of this site, for all the bandwidth, division and contentiousness you try to stir up.
“How do you tell a SDA?”
“YOU DON’T. THEY TELL YOU”
...IGNORE button pressed.
Carry on with the SDA propaganda in your attempt to justify yourself. Me...I’m completely unimpressed, yet still and eternally saved by what Jesus did, not the filthy rags of what I do.
not embarrassed in the least.
But you should be.
Also not ashamed of the (gospel)!good news of my salvation which is in Christ alone.
Crucified with Him! Galatians 2:20
And your silly frail gaslighting title in this thread shows your problem. For you have not love, only legalism.
What Christians here reject the commands against idolatry, profanity, honoring parents, adultery, murder etc.? Evangelicals have long testified to affirming obedience to the moral law.
I myself have never worked for pay on Sunday after becoming born again, treating it as sanctified if not imposing it on all, and refrain from sports and personal commerce from Sat. 6P to Sunday 6p, but not from helping others, by the grace of God.
This is a guy who upholds the 10 commandments and is willing to lose a job over it. I commend him!
Actually if you are a SDA then your founder held that Sundaykeeping will be the mark of the beast when the decree goes forth causing men to worship this sabbath. But maybe you are a different kind of
He's got the wrong day but he's keeping it in the right way the way Protestants used to keep it! You go dude! Love it!!
No, the only one of the 10 commandments never repeated, nor is a actual NT church shown keeping it, and the only specific day only believers met together was the first day, while by nature the 7th day pertains to the typological class of ordinances for which literal obedience was abrogated.
Please see post here and page here before attempting debate.
Let’s just cut to the chase.
Put down the Bong, and seek help.
Gibberish
Have you never had your donkey in a ditch?
The Supreme Court made a bad ruling. It will create problems for businesses and their customers.
I never met anyone throughout my life who mentioned this, let alone believed it. The Ninety Five Thesis were, on the other hand, nailed to the church door.
Seems you are making something up in order have an peculiar sense of satisfaction.
Says the hypocrite who posts on FR on the Sabbath.
