SatanCon, an event billed as "the largest satanic gathering in history," recently took place in Boston, Massachusetts, courtesy of a Salem-based group called The Satanic Temple.
The Satanic Temple has identified itself as a religious organization. In 2014, it promoted a Black Mass at Harvard University. And in 2019, the group persuaded the federal government to grant it recognition as a tax-exempt religion.
During the event's opening ritual, a lead figure tore pages out of the Bible.
In another ritual, individuals engaged in what was termed a satanic "unbaptism," wherein participants made their way to a center altar, took on new names, and chanted a blasphemously revised "Hail Mary" prayer.
Dr. Peck discovered that in order to understand spiritual growth, one has to also understand its opposite. This notion inspired him to write another book, "People of the Lie," in which he explored the concept of evil.
He found that evil people share some key behavioral traits.
— They lie.
— They are intellectually devious.
— They scapegoat.
— They turn their backs on facts.
—They self-deceive to escape their own consciences.
They are also narcissistic to an extent that enables them to "ignore the humanity of their victims" and incite hatred against their enemies.

These satanists don’t care if you support them or not, and they don’t care if you ignore them. Their whole strategy at this point is to normalize satanism in whatever’s it’s form. Once it gets the reputation as a harmless, goofy group, people will lower their guard. Then they can get as evil as they want and people won’t care as much. Satan is very much in it for the long game.

The insistence on conservatives/rightwingers to label things that go against their social & religious views, goes against the civil society ideology, etc. as “satanic” and “demonic” forces, in this day and age, continues to truly befuddle me. The “satanic church” and “satan conventions” exist purely because those of us who believe in a “right way” versus a “wrong way” keep labeling things as satanic and demonic. Neo-Marxism, CRT, DEI, Socialism, Transgendering, Pedophelia, etc etc are products of man-made behavior enacted by a populace that is mentally predisposed to be weak-minded followers of those predisposed to be authoritarian in their nature. If conservatives/rightwingers adequately explained who and what kind of people (can and do) create desolate wastelands of societies as opposed to just blurting “DEMONS! THEY’RE SATANS MINIONS!” Maybe THEN we could actually win a dang culture war and save our civil society (and the SatanCon wouldn’t even exist anymore). But nah. Keep spouting dumb crap.
Dr. Peck wrote a couple of other books. “The road less travelled” was an excellent book on why people in general have a ton of problems in life.

The truly sad thing about them is that they think by honoring and worshiping Satan they might position themselves in his favor when they die and go to hell believing he is going to be in charge there. On the contrary, Satan is going to be the MOST punished and tormented and, rather than his followers receiving preferred treatment, they will also be doomed for eternity - much to Satan's delight for he hates ALL of mankind.

I cannot fathom why someone would choose hell when we are given every opportunity to take heaven since God has done everything needed to get us there and offers it to us as a free gift.
