Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Luke 7
Jesus Anointed by a Sinful Woman
36 When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. 37 A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. 38 As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.
39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”
40 Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”
“Tell me, teacher,” he said.
41 “Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii,[c] and the other fifty. 42 Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?”
43 Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.”
“You have judged correctly,” Jesus said.
44 Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”
48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49 The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
50 Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
How Blessed and Wonderful is Your Most Holy Name!
How Magnificent,
How Holy,
How Sanctified and Glorious!
When I Awake in the Morning,
You Are There.
All through the day,
You Are With me.
And When I go to Sleep at Night,
You Are Still Watching Over Us All.
For You Neither Slumber Nor Sleep.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
Since I don't have any children, I am not considered a mother. However, my five younger siblings all have children and grandchildren, and I am their "Wild and Crazy Auntie", who rides a Harley, plays Rock Bass, and flies Antique Aircraft. I have no shortage of loved ones to celebrate with.
A beloved FRiend sent me a meme today that said :
"IT TAKES A SPECIAL WOMAN TO BE AN AUSSIE CATTLE DOG MOM."
As most of you know, I adopted an ACD a year ago, and she is a handful. Tippy is my sixth doggie adoption, and most of my dogs could be called "problem" breeds. My last dog, for example was a pit-bull, and was the sweetest dog ever. I also had a Border Collie/Jack Russel Mix, who got brilliant intelligence from her father's side (the Border Collie) and wickedness from her mother, a Jack Russel Terrier. In other words, an "Evil Genius".
Some of my dogs were already middle-aged when I adopted them, and I nursed them through old age. This caused my brother to remark that I had been "running a doggie hospice", when he rejoiced that my latest adoption was only three years old.
My first dog was always a bit dimwitted, but this got worse after he ate a prescription bottle of Valium pills. I sat for three days in Doggie ICU over that.
Although nothing can compare with being a HUMAN mother, I have given a lot of love and care to my furry friends. Although I have gotten a lot of love in return, there has been a lot of aggravation and heartache too.
Religious Leaders usually like to be surrounded by good, law-abiding, righteous people. The Pharisees were perfect examples of that. I even suspect that they had invited Jesus to dinner, not so much to treat Him as an Honored Guest, but to corral Him and test Him. This is evident by their treatment of Him when He entered the home. The kiss of greeting, the washing of His feet, and even the seating arrangements would have shown their love and respect. Evidently, none of that took place.
Then, a woman of bad reputation enters the home uninvited and washes Jesus Feet with her tears and dries them with her hair. The host and other guests are outraged. They are furious that this woman shows more love and hospitality than the ones who are supposed to be "righteous".
being a Mom would be easy if one's children were all attractive, smart, well-socialized, obedient, and nice to be around. But that is usually not the case. Some kids are kind of slow (like my Samoyed), some are rebellious (like the Border/Jack Russel), some are ailing (like my older dogs), and some are belligerent and don't play nice with others (like the pit-bull). Some might even be hyperactive and a little crazy (like the ACD), and some might abuse drugs and alcohol (like the Samoyed). Like Jesus, we need to accept and love people even as we correct bad behavior.
He who has been forgiven much is the one who loves the most.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Psalm 110
Of David. A Psalm.
1 The Lord says to my lord,
‘Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies your footstool.’
2 The Lord sends out from Zion
your mighty sceptre.
Rule in the midst of your foes.
3 Your people will offer themselves willingly
on the day you lead your forces
on the holy mountains.*
From the womb of the morning,
like dew, your youth* will come to you.
4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind,
‘You are a priest for ever according to the order of Melchizedek.’*
5 The Lord is at your right hand;
he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.
6 He will execute judgement among the nations,
filling them with corpses;
he will shatter heads
over the wide earth.
7 He will drink from the stream by the path;
therefore he will lift up his head.

Your kitty is 19? Or is she one of some over 19 years?
That’s a good long life for a kitty. :)

Kitty crossed the rainbow bridge at 19. We had her since she was kitten—a feral kitten abandoned by her feral mother.
