“Paul was reasoning in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place every day with those who happened to be present. And also some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers were conversing with him. Some were saying, “What would this idle babbler wish to say?” Others, “He seems to be a proclaimer of strange deities,” – because he was preaching Jesus and the resurrection. And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, “May we know what this new teaching is which you are proclaiming? “(Acts 17:18-19)
The Stoics and Epicureans were the two most prominent schools of nature philosophy, nature science and nature religion of that time. Funny thing: The idea ofdiscussing and examining different ideas among the various feligious groups, seems lost among the various camps of present day American Christianity.

Now, apply these two things in a congregational setting. The church seervice music, the instruments interpreting the written music, the sermon projected out over the congregation, and the means to record said sermon n a device of choice at a later date.
“What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9
I kept thinking that even before I read it in the article.
Exactly. And when we understand that ‘modern’ evolutionary science is the devil’s kingdom worldview in disguise we can see the Word of God come alive in our own time.
