A new Pew Research survey revealed that U.S.-born Latinos are abandoning the Catholic faith that their demographic has long maintained, despite the U.S. bishops’ vocal, fanatical endorsement of seemingly any and all immigration efforts and policies. In other words, the bishops are making every effort to bring Latinos into the U.S., but they aren’t even trying to keep them in the Church, much less actively bringing them into the Church.
According to the Pew Research Center, the number of U.S.-born Latinos identifying as Catholic has dropped from 58 percent in 2012 to 43 percent in 2022, while the number of U.S.-born Latinos identifying as religiously unaffiliated has more than doubled in the same timespan, jumping from 13 percent in 2012 to 30 percent in 2022. The percentage identifying as Protestant has remained at a stable 21 percent, and “other faiths” has only seen a 2 percent increase over the past decade.
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has consistently shilled for open borders–style immigration for nearly two decades. Notably, the USCCB was among the most vocal groups demonizing then-President Donald Trump for attempting to secure America’s sovereign border. When Los Angeles Archbishop José Gomez was elected president of the USCCB, he made it clear that “immigration reform” was one of his chief priorities. He said immigration reform is “something I’ve been working on for almost 25 to 30 years.” During his tenure, Gomez spoke constantly and loudly on immigration, but he missed an opportunity to expressly prohibit Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and other pro-abortion politicians who call themselves Catholic from receiving Holy Communion — considered in Catholic theology to be a desecration of the Body and Blood of Christ.

No, they don't even have a clue. Neither does the Bishop of Rome.
Unfortunately everyone suffers from an open border including illegal immigrants, but especially law-abiding citizens. I question the moral judgment of anyone who aids and abets the current lack of enforcement of the immigration laws and protection of our borders. As the saying goes, “The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.”
Of course the catholic church is prioritizing immigration. To populate (with your family and/or followers) is to govern. The catholic church only cares about power and control.
My diocese is currently asking for donations to the annual fund. I absolutely will not contribute a cent, although I do contribute to my own parish. Stopped giving a number of years ago once I learned of how the diocese helps to flood our country with illegals.

Well they’ve been assisting bringing illegals to this country...they’re peppered throughout the country routes the illlegals pass thru in this caravans...then here in the states they will also bus and move them around.
I’ve been following this for several years and the Catholic Organizations ar par and partial to the illegals getting here.

Billions, directly from the US Treasury, is what it is all about. It’s what it was about when Bergoglio sat at the border and said Christians (insinuating Trump wasn’t) don’t build walls. Follow the money, as usual.
