What to make of a Benedict funeral Communion 'scandal'
Soon after the funeral of Pope Benedict XVI, a video began circulating online, which appeared to show a man being denied Holy Communion at the Mass, as he knelt before a priest distributing the Eucharist and attempted to receive on the tongue.

— a man kneels, removes the hood of jacket, a priest says something to him and pulls back the sacred host, the man seemingly attempts again to receive it as he rises from the ground, and the priest seems to rebuke him. The man, and a woman behind him in line, turn around and return into the congregation.
I found the mention of ‘carrying a guitar’ to indicate a not too traditional situation.

I had a Priest in Seattle that had a PIERCED EAR with a Diamond, and who said at one of his sermons, that the thing he hated most was putting Holy Communion on a tongue!!!!

His offense, as in, the root cause of the seminary’s/diocese’s decision to refuse to ordain this man?
He was ordered in February, 2022 to cease kneeling when receiving the Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
He did not so cease.
On April 1st, the diocesan ordinary told him: Finish your classes this semester and then, get out. A handful of reasons were given for this final decision, obviously pretextual.
A few days later, now assisting as a layperson at a diocesan chrism mass offered by none other than the same local ordinary noted above, this same ex-seminarian approached the altar and received Holy Communion from the hands of that local ordinary.
Did he kneel and present the posture of receiving on the tongue.
Yes he did.
Did the local ordinary distribute Holy Communion to this young man on the tongue.
Yes he did.
What an absolute injustice. Five years of excellent seminary work thrown down the drain because an authentically faithful Catholic has the temerity to want to remain devout while becoming a priest.
