Yes, the individual ran into this particular priestly buzz saw because he was seeking to receive on the tongue.

Why was he seeking to receive on the tongue?

Certainly not because he wished to display the reverence due to God, truly present in body, blood, soul AND divinity.

Instead, he was seeking to receive on the tongue for no other reason than his own convenience. Either he was too lazy to put down his guitar, or he was determined to hang onto it to protect it, and was thus showing what was most important to him.
