‘US Govt Supports Sex Swaps for Children’, Says Senior Official

American medics and hospitals providing sex-swap drugs and surgeries for children have the support of the “highest levels of the Federal Government”, a senior official has said.

The Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services, Rachel Levine, a man who lives as a woman, said “proactive outreach” is needed to “educate the public” that any opposition to ‘gender-affirming care’ is “ideologically and politically motivated”.

He told staff at Connecticut Children’s Hospital to “push back” in their communities and schools when ‘gender-affirming care’ is questioned.

Levine has previously criticised a law in Florida requiring teachers to inform parents when their children question their gender.

Dr Stanley Goldfarb, Chairman of Do No Harm, a network of medical professionals, said: “There is no good evidence that children treated with gender-altering hormones or puberty blockers have improved mental health assessments.”

“There can be irrevocable harm being done to children by those pushing for these radical, ideologically driven, treatments.

“Treatment for minors needs to be based on rigorous scientific inquiry, not on dubious, agenda-driven studies or the demands of activists.”

Member of the House Doctors Caucus, Andy Harris, called it “reprehensible for a government official, let alone the Assistant U.S. Secretary of HHS to promote the genital mutilation of minors as becoming a standard practice in the U.S.”.

He said: “Many paediatricians, particularly pediatric endocrinologists, have expressed serious concerns about the use of puberty blockers, hormone blockers, and sex transition surgeries in minors.

“These doctors know that these medications and procedures can impact children’s bone growth, fertility, and risk of breast and prostate cancer.”

Secretary Levine's statement about highest levels of feds supporting genital mutilation for children has no teeth since the states have never expressly constitutional given the feds the specific power to dictate healthcare policy for politically correct LGBT agenda.
