Many people wonder why we write about the UFO phenomenon. Isn’t it just a ‘side issue’? But in fact, it’s so important to oppose this particular belief, because ET belief is quickly becoming the world’s most scientifically acceptable false religion and a major stumbling block to Christianity. And although some of its adherents are serious followers, the reality is, that polls show that belief in UFOs is mainstream and held by the average ‘Joe’ in the street.

Prof. Garry Nolan of Stanford Medical is probably leading the field which has now become dominated by scientists.
That said, it isn't about "extraterrestrials." Frankly, I don't think anyone knows what the hell it is. It appears to be interdimensional...and it seems that the UFOs themselves may be only a very small part of the issue. Some say the UFOs may be a feint or facade.
As someone peering in through an outside window, my take lately is that this whole phenomenon has a very paranormal aspect. Too paranormal for my liking. Hence the subject of this thread re: it becoming a kind of religion.
I'm not saying that the UFO issue doesn't fit within the Biblical narrative--I believe it does. But different denominations each have very fixed ideas about what the Bible says and their minds are often slammed shut tightly to differing interpretations and POVs.
Just as politics and science don't mix. Religion with a strong bias and science don't mix.
As we all know, the empirical and clinical analysis of ANYTHING is derailed by any kind of preconceived bias on the part of those people performing such analysis.
I hear all kinds of theories and speculation, and any one of them is contradictory to some other. There may be observational evidence, but none that is subject to repeatable testing. Hense the “field” is full of fakers and crackpots making the whole field unreliable. It wanders frequently into the paranormal, or even the supernatural. They are any number of things from demons, interdimensional aliens, interstellar aliens, evolved humans from the future, secret government projects, etc. The funny thing is that while people claim to see them all the time, they also choose to remain hidden and secretive, as though they can’t make up their minds. Unless they don’t exist at all. I’ve seen one myself, however, so I can’t be sure of anything.
I totally disagree... Climatology is the fastest growing ‘scientific’ religion... And both UFOlogy and Climatology are closely related to astrology... Another phony science.
Phony science is full of cultist and nutjobs.

Thou shalt not present any clear image of any UFO/AAP in the heavens or on the earth.
Our view that God did not create life on other planets has even made us relatively unpopular among Christian friends. However, as this issue affects the veracity of God’s Word, and is indeed, a salvation issue, we have been careful; drawing a strong, exegetical and historical picture from the Bible.
There is considerable disagreement about whether or not the Bible leaves room for the existence of beings from other physical locations in our universe. But this author starts from the position that "our view is that..." and then quickly moves to a position that not accepting his "view" is at odds with the "veracity" of the Bible.
Many (if not most) religious authorities (of all denominations) will tell you that this or that is not possible and then point to their own personal "interpretation" of the Bible as support for their conclusion.
Many religious authorities have no training whatsoever in anything and certainly not in the application of logic. They apparently don't even see that their approach is pre-loaded with bias.
Actually it isn't new. It is just Paganism.
Let’s say “they” show up. Listen to the religion they preach and I bet it will be Satan’s universal, vague religion. The Lord Jesus Christ will be either parodied or omitted entirely. The multitude are sitting ducks for such an appearing, as they have already rejected the “truth that is in Jesus” (Eph. 4:21).
Good points but pure stupidity seems to be be even higher on the religious side because a majority of people are possessed.
BTW, Whitley Strieber (of "Communion" fame) has written a new book entitled "Jesus, A New Vision" which he claims was revealed to him by the "beings" now deeply involved in his life. In this new book, he speaks of the wonderful and powerful influence of Jesus on the world...and then points out that Jesus was just a man and in no way divine.

That is reasonable. It's difficult to take anybody seriously when they proclaim UFOs and "aliens" are definitely this, or that. If a person is nuts, how does that person discern that they are in fact nuts and not just seeing things? And if there truly is/are beings of superior intellect and abilities, determining their origins and motives is going to be nearly impossible if they don't want you to know.
Full disclosure, I have seen two flying objects which appeared solid, one a broad daylight disc at less than 2,000 ft. (basing on low level, fair weather cumulus cloud that it disappeared into and never emerged from) and another night time oval with structures (est. 20 ft in diameter) rise up out of the hollow below and fly overhead. Neither one displayed the characteristics of an aircraft or balloon.
What were they? No idea.
Human beings are stupid because they quickly jump to the conclusion that they know what is going on...and then they close their minds.
A perfect example of this is Lord Kelvin back in the 1800's. Brilliant mathematician/physicist, past president of the Royal Society of London, winner of the Copley Medal (arguably the highest British award for scientific achievement).

Ufology is not, or at least, doesn’t have to be a religion. Our God created the Universe and all that’s in it. It is a duality Universe, which means good and evil exists throughout. The biblical “war in heaven” after which Lucifer/Satan was cast down to/into the earth, the earth where Lucifer/Satan continues to make war with G-d for humanity’s souls, makes for no case for or against sentient Life on other worlds. That the bible does not speak about that case neither confirms nor denies it. It’s just left out.
Maybe Einstein was wrong.

Weinstein points out that the concepts of physics ceased when Einstein came up with his theories. It became settle science, which is wrong.
That the objects we call UFOs or UFPs now move beyond our concepts of physics that we do not understand. That somehow these objects defy gravity in ways that we do not understand.
I remember fifty years ago when book stores had an “Occult” isle of books.
A few years later it was labeled as “New Age”
Now they are listed as “personal-Imporvement” or something similar.
But they still have the same old books on occultism and witchcraft.
