You also have yet to show me where Jesus or the apostles ever preached that theology or practiced it.

Book, chapter, and verses, please.

And everything is to be established by two or three witnesses.

Christ’s death and resurrection provides healing for us. Period, paragraph, end of story. God intends for ALL to be saved and ALL to be healed. Are ALL saved? No. Are all healed? No. But that doesn’t change God’s will.

We have been given free will in this life and healing (and salvation) come by faith. Our faith, not God’s faith.

There are things in life that we won’t understand but that doesn’t make His word untrue. I speak from experience when I tell you that being double minded is a sure way to total failure and when you put your faith in ANYTHING but God’s Word we are like the waves of the sea tossed to and fro.

I’m not sure I’m making the case to you as you almost don’t want to believe God’s word is true and that he has already healed us (Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24) but if we stand on His promises, including healing, and on nothing else, His will be done.

It is covered over and over and over in the Gospels, Acts, etc. He healed them all. Said over and over and over. Then he sent his Apostles out to do the same.

messenger - interesting word.

Angels are messengers from GOD. they speak what He wants us to hear.

We can thrash this back and forth until Jesus returns, but the bottom-line is that none of us know just what is going on in GOD’s mind.

What I DO know is that His ways are not our ways.

As expected.

You didn’t provide ONE example from Scripture of Jesus or the apostles teaching or practicing that theology of positive confession or taking authority over one’s body.

and…..

It’s the fault of the person who doesn’t *have enough faith*.

You didn’t disappoint.

Blaming the sick person for their illness is disgusting and reprehensible to the max. Did my friend’s baby die after being born brain dead because neither the newborn nor her parents had the faith for her healing? And the pastor of that church die from pancreatic cancer because nobody in the church had faith for his healing? Are you really going to go there with that demonic “theology” and lay that burden of guilt on them?

It is so destructive to a believer’s faith to be told that by the likes of you and your ilk.

There are countless examples in Scripture of God not healing everyone. As a matter of fact, God Himself takes responsibility for the fact that some people are afflicted.

Exodus 4:11 “ Then the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?”

And granted in heaven there is no illness and everyone will be healed and Jesus healed freely, but it never says He healed ALL people and He NEVER advocates for a person taking authority over their own bodies or this positive confession, we create our own reality nonsense. It was JESUS who healed people, not people healing themselves by sheer will power and compelling God to act by holding Him hostage to a person’s interpretation of His word.

That’s your issue then. Don’t project it on others. If you “healed “ yourself by talking yourself out of a condition you talked yourself into, don’t confuse that with the true healing that God does when He acts out of His sovereignty. All it does is prove that your psychosomatic illness could be changed by your own self since you brought it on yourself.

How judgmental of you. Are you omniscient?

Hmmm, better idea. Go preach this to JR and tell HIM the same thing.

AMEN!

All I know is that telling people they are sick is because they want to be sick, or don’t have enough faith to be healed is a lie from the pit of hell.

It allows no room for God’s sovereignty and is the worst kind of judgment you can lay on a person who is already suffering. It’s hard to believe that there are people out there who think people who are sick want to be, but clearly there are.

Tell it to Mr. Robinson or you or me and the plenty that are out of bed now because of sickness/pain.

Hang on a sec ... Gotta push down more pills and hope for some kind of relief somewhere ...

Sorry. I’m back.

I wonder why people who can heal because they say their faith is stronger than the rest never have the time to visit innocent sick children who are in the hospital dying of cancer. Where are they who believe that a miracle is coming for those children? When God chooses to heal one in a thousand, does that mean the other little children didn’t have enough faith and so He said “no” to the requests for healing that little one? For that matter, what of the little babies that don’t make it to birth?

Jesus healed because HE chose to heal,. Not because He told people to name it and claim it, to take authority over their bodies, or to make positive confessions that they were healthy when they weren’t. There is not ONE instance in Scripture where Jesus or the apostles taught that we become healed by positive confession, declaring it to be so, or *taking authority over one’s body. * NOTHING. I have asked a couple times for examples out of Scripture and gotten deafening silence.

When He healed, the person’s circumstances changed immediately. They didn’t have to convince themselves they were well while they were still sick.

Interesting that the comparison is made to being saved by faith and being healed by faith. I wonder if those who claim healing is by declaring it to be so think that way about salvation. That they are saved by declaring it so therefore God must save them.

Whatever happened to repentance and confession of sin and accepting Christ? Or do they just order God around and demand they be saved because they speak it to be so?

You are very judgmental and condemning, but that is the usual response by the name it and claim it false prosperity gospel crowd.

God’s word does NOT teach taking authority over your body for healing, nor the false positive confession nonsense.

You cannot provide ONE example of Jesus or the disciples teaching anywhere or any time what you you are advocating and yet you do nothing but throw insults back at anyone who shows your *theology* to be so unscriptural.

You are advocating false teaching that God never instructed us in in the Bible. There is only one source for that then.

You have not shown from God’s word that it says what you claim it says.

I don’t refuse to accept God’s word. I refuse to accept your unscriptural theology.

The word of God is full of promises of healing and that it’s past tense, already done by Christ on the cross. It is you that is stubborn and refuses to look at the word of God and our dug in on the idea that his intention is to not heal everyone. Read your Bible. It is full of promises to heal us. Jeremiah 33:6 I will heal you and reveal to you the abundance of peace and Truth. Psalm 107:20, he sent his word and healed them and delivered them from all their destructions. Even your reference to job which was completely unbiblical, says that he was healed after he prayed for his friends. This will be the last time I respond to you because you have zero interest in actually knowing the truth you are just bitterly attacking people that speak the truth of God’s word that you don’t agree with

spacejunkie2001 if metmon wants an example of positive confession you can show her Abraham and Sarah. God changed their names from Abram-high father to Abraham-father of a multitude and from Sarai to Sarah-Princess of nations to get them speaking in line with his word. Also the woman with the issue of blood when she said, If I may touch, but his clothes I shall be whole in the AMPC it says, for she kept saying. That’s what the word said means in the Strong’s Concordance-a continuing action. God Bless!

Show me where Jesus or the apostles taught us that as a means to apprehend our healing.

Nor did Abraham and Sarah make any positive confessions.

God made them a specific promise of something, a son, and they believed it. That is not deciding for God what he is going to do for you then holding Him hostage to their will.

Nobody has shown me anywhere where Jesus told someone to make positive confessions about healing. I have yet to see where the apostles taught it some where in any of the epistles.

All my requests for such support from Scripture and the questions I asked about my friend’s baby and the church’s pastor have been totally ignored and/or side stepped.

All I get after hearing about how life and death is in the power of the tongue is negative confessions of the worst kind of judgment and condemnation spoken over me.

What kind of Christian character does that if they really believed what they claim?
