Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Mark 3
Crowds Follow Jesus
7 Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed. 8 When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon. 9 Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him. 10 For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him. 11 Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” 12 But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father,
Who Art in Heaven,
How Wonderful and Magnificent is Your Most Holy Name.
You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are Holy,
You Alone Are The Most High.
Omnipotent,
Omniscient,
And Omnipresent,
You Know The End from the Beginning
and the Beginning from the End.
We Bless Your Name and Thank You,
Most Gracious and Hallowed LORD,
For Your Holy Word,
While Sometimes Difficult,
Is Always True and Mighty,
and Cuts to the Heart of Things like a Two Edged Sword!
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

Thanks for praying for my Nephew. His hand surgery has bee rescheduled, in an affiliated hospital nearby. I am praying for a complete healing and restoration of his God-Given Talents, in Jesus Name.
Being "Famous" is not all that it is cracked up to be. I had attained a small amount of "fame" back in the 90's, when I was gigging around New England. It was kind of cool to get recognized in restaurants and shopping malls...at first. But then a lot of people started thinking that I had some kind of influence in the Music Industry. Soon, the "Recognition turned into Petition". People wanted me to set their poems to music, introduce their kids into show business, develop their idea for a Musical, and so on. There was also the delusion that their poem, Kids, or Ideas were so incredible AWESOME that I would jump at the chance to do all this for free. Being a kind person, I did not have the heart to tell them that their poetry was terrible, their kids were just normal, and the idea for the musical was ridiculous. Many times, I would struggle to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear (for free, of course) and the mediocre end results would disappoint everybody concerned. The petitioner, of course, would always blame ME for the failure. Oh Well, Water Under The Bridge.
Last week, a student asked me if she could sing in the recital. I enthusiastically agreed, and suggested some songs for which I already knew the accompaniment. She countered that she wanted to do a current pop song that had a very complex piano part. I agreed to learn it, even though I would be taking on a huge task, and bought the sheet music. Then I saw how INAPPROPRIATE the Lyrics were! I DID NOT want her singing that song. But...how was I going to break the bad news to her? I struggled with it and prayed about it right up to a minute before her next lesson.
Suddenly, I remembered Our National Anthem, a song that had opened every recital I have had in the last twenty years. Although she goes to Public School, she barely knew it. I warmed her up and ran through the song with her. It's in her range and she will be able to handle it. It will be a great honor for her to sing it, and I don't have to even look at sheet music to play it with her.
As soon as it became known that Jesus was healing and delivering people from demonic oppression, the crowds were becoming unmanageable. It was getting to the point where Jesus couldn't even have a meal in peace.
Most of the People's needs were genuine, but, on occasion, there were inappropriate requests. One man wanted to Jesus adjudicate an inheritance distribution. Pharisees and Teachers of the Law wasted Jesus's time with silly hypothetical questions in order to trap Him. The was even a Stage Mom, who wanted Jesus to elevate her two sons ahead of all the other Disciples, and have them sit on His right and left when He claimed His Eternal Kingdom! There were members of Jesus's own family who were not coping with His fame appropriately.
Jesus always had a firm, but gentle rebuff to the petitions. He was able to refuse in a way that was instructive and edifying. Sometimes he answered directly, sometimes with a parable, and sometimes even a mild rebuke.
But it was always with Grace and Truth.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 86
A Prayer of David.
1 Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me,
for I am poor and needy.
2 Preserve my life, for I am devoted to you;
save your servant who trusts in you.
You are my God; 3be gracious to me, O Lord,
for to you do I cry all day long.
4 Gladden the soul of your servant,
for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
5 For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you.
6 Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer;
listen to my cry of supplication.
7 In the day of my trouble I call on you,
for you will answer me.
8 There is none like you among the gods, O Lord,
nor are there any works like yours.
9 All the nations you have made shall come
and bow down before you, O Lord,
and shall glorify your name.
10 For you are great and do wondrous things;
you alone are God.
11 Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart to revere your name.
12 I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart,
and I will glorify your name for ever.
13 For great is your steadfast love towards me;
you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
14 O God, the insolent rise up against me;
a band of ruffians seeks my life,
and they do not set you before them.
15 But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
16 Turn to me and be gracious to me;
give your strength to your servant;
save the child of your serving-maid.
17 Show me a sign of your favour,
so that those who hate me may see it and be put to shame,
because you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.
