I agree.
When I went to see The Passion of Christ and when the movie ended, no one moved for about 20 minutes.
Most emotional, fantastic movie ever!
This pope will certainly be remembered for this final act. I think the entire point of him penning these SAs for release after his death is to ensure that his existance as pope was to ensure people understand their relationship to God. Yup, this will be remembered.
I never saw it in theatre as I figured I would be too emotional - plus, who wants to ‘read’ the subtitles of a movie in the theatre.
So, I bought it on DVD when it was available and watched it over Easter weekend that year.
I haven’t been able to watch it again.
And, knowing that Jim was literally struck by lightning while filming the movie (and the scene on Golgotha!) made it even more dramatic and “true”.
