One of the most frequent e-mails into this ministry is about how alone people feel. Many state they don’t have even one person to share thoughts with as they pertain to our times and the lateness of the hour.
Yet, Pew Research just released a report that found among all U.S. adults, 39% say the “end times” are now.
That includes 47% of all Christians, which, in turn, included 55% of Protestants, 63% of evangelicals, 31% of mainline church members and 76% of historically black church memberships.
The poll states, “Periods of catastrophe and anxiety, such as the coronavirus pandemic, have historically led some people to anticipate that the destruction of the world as we know it – the ‘end times’ – is near. This thinking often has a religious component that draws on sacred scripture. In Christianity, for example, these beliefs include expectations that Jesus will return to Earth after or amid a time of great turmoil,” the poll said.
The poll was referencing Christ’s return in the Second Coming and not the Rapture. Evangelicalism remains the primary dispenser of eschatology, or the doctrine of the last days. Social justice, and other kinds of “woke theology” are capturing many churchgoers.

Maranatha!
I truly believe we are in the last days...
For SURE we know that the description in the scripture of the last days, describes where we are at now...
“ as in the days of Noah”....transgender, lovers of self...etc.
“They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”” — 2 Peter 3:4
“They” have been saying this for a long time now, and many (blond guides and blind followers) are showing the signs of depraved minds in their lives in this so-called “culture”.
Will the last sign of the falling away be all the rainbow flags flying in front of many congregations?
“I truly believe we are in the last days...”
You are not alone. Every time there is an approaching calamity, people truly believe that. Things got really bad around the year 1000 A D, for some reason.
If you were living in Russia during Stalin’s slaughtering, you would probably have thought that. Also, in China when the occupying Japanese were slaughtering millions, or when Mao was slaughtering his tens of millions, or Pol Pot in Cambodia was stacking skulls up in pyramids by the millions.
The inherent danger in truly believing in the end times is to sit around and do nothing, thinking Jesus will come and rescue you.

Flat out propaganda of preterists.
Those who understand prophecy always understood
the very first of the last days
was the restoration of Jews to Israel.

- no, Israel had not been restored.

Now notice what he left out here.
The Nazi genocide of Jews and the rebirth of the nation of Israel in 1948
That was the first day of the last days.
The inherent danger is being robbed of the blessed hope and promise of Christ to His Bride the Church.
And we don’t
” sit and do nothing ecpecting “
either.
That’s just mud slinging and mischaracterizion.
We evangelize and spread the gospel to hasten the day that the last person that will be saved accepts Christ
and the fullness of the gentiles is completed
and Christ returns for his Bride as promised.
We not only do not “ do nothing”
We actively advance His coming.
All preterists do is insinuate we are cowards,, while they puff themselves up with pride that they aren’t cowards like they accuse us of being.
It
gets
Really
Old
.
Might not be the end of the world but we certainly are certainly near the end of our civilization.
Hebrews 1:1-2, KJV: God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
The human race will be living in the last days until Christ returns, even if it's 1,000 years from now.
Imagine the way this theme will be remembered a few hundred years from now ... (h/t to Guy Fawkes Day)
~~~ Sinister boo-talk: a fable ~~~
Every nation needs its festivals. Especially small nations, three miles in diameter, slowly revolving against the heavens.
On April 1, the Feast of All Fools, Northway Laager opened the doors between the ark segments for the Parade of the Useless Idiots. Johaan and Ayse waited with their ten children for the noise of the approaching festivities. In the distance, the ancient Janissary marching tune Ceddin Dedan stirred the blood. The parade drew closer. A brief pause while the musicians caught their breath, then the Unitarian hymn of military aggression echoed down the long halls. Another pause, then there they were, at the antispinward airlock. A marching band. A float, pulled by six young people wearing dunce caps. A team of acrobats. Another float. Harmonica ensemble. Float. Male chorus. Float.
One by one, a rogue’s gallery of scoundrels rolled past, receiving ritual jeers, and gifts for the community feast after the parade. No bread or wine — these demolishers of civilization had no part in the Table.
The first float bore an effigy of Haggard Haggee, in his tradition-cemented pose: bent over, pants around his knees, oversized buttocks gleaming a fluorescent red, rotating back and forth as he mooned the crowds on either side. An idiot grin on his face counterpointed his inarticulate grumbles, wails, and dirges. “Daddy, why is that strange man showing off his bare behind?” young Emir asked. “Hush. I’ll tell you after the parade,” Johaan answered.
The next float showcased Tugboat Hal. Florid complexion, bristling mustache, four wedding rings on his left hand, this effigy received old books from a rack on his left, stamped new titles on them, then deposited them into a vendor’s cart on his right, while a blizzard of holographed greenbacks swirled around him.
The Haymaker came through next. Timothy hay, of course. He sat at a spinning wheel, converting straw into jingling gold coin, smiling, of course, even as his wheel emitted screams, moans, and desperate cries.
The final float bore the emblem of a turtle on a fencepost, and depicted a puppet seated on a black-clad puppeteer’s knee. The puppet wore a Confederate uniform with Union field cap. He jingled a bag of loot with one hand and a well-designed book with the other. Out of his mouth came an unending stream of inane blasphemy. “Rejoice, for the Lord hath decided to take a dive! To throw in the towel! The fight is fixed! The game is rigged! God has ordained the global triumph of evil! Let us hale Satan, the real god of this world!”
At this point, the crowd went wild, and howled the gravest insult this community possessed at the retreating parade: “Sinister boo-talk! Sinister boo-talk! Sinister boo-talk!” The parade passed through the spinward airlock, and the families went home to prepare for the evening feast. And to explain to their children who the effigies represented, and why their vile deeds were still held in loathing memory centuries later.
Hey Polly!!! Long time since I ran across you here. I don’t post as often as I used to, but I still read on here now and then.
I agree with you! Christ is coming soon. I’ve never thought it would be in my lifetime, but now I believe it can happen. I hope I’m alive to be raptured!! What a glorious experience that will be!
When antichrist is on the scene the show begins, but has he been identified yet? We might have a pretty good idea of who he is, especially here on FR, where most FReepers see the signs of antichrist rebellion, or lawlessness, all around us. But we lack positive identification of him.
Antichrist is the most conspicuous sign of the end of days according to the New Testament, the events of the endtime revolving around him. If he hasn't been revealed yet, are we correct in saying we are "in the endtime." I don't think so, it's my take on it anyway.
Have you ever considered this verse, I John 2:18 - English Standard Version:
“Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.”
John said not a word about the restoration of Israel being the key to the end times.
Why did John believe he was living in the end times, replete with the anti-Christ, etc.? John must not have understood prophesy.
Matthew 24 says not one word about the restoration of Israel as a condition of the end times.
Are you saying you don’t believe the slaughter of tens of millions of people last century by the communists. How on earth is that any kind of propaganda.
You must be stupid.
You must be stupid.
/\
I’m not blind leading the blind like you at least.
You are A tare imho.
And that’s being kind.
You must hate it that
Jesus was a jew.
What about I John 2:18? I am waiting.
I am certainly glad I don’t have to close my mind and eyes to scripture in order to believe a dumb concept.
Note, I never said a word about Jews. Can you cite the post where I said a word about Jews?
Now Jesus did say uncomplimentary things about Jews. And Paul could get livid at Jews. If I were to quote what Paul said, would you say I hated Jews?
Of course, neither hated Jews, but it only shows that they could hold two concepts in mind at the same time, which you apparently cannot.
Thought you told us last week Paul never met Jesus ?
Or was that the other antisemite preterists buddy of yours ?
No matter, you all the same false teachers.
You
Never
Rebut what I’ve ever rebutted you with
Like the weasel you are you ignore any point that proves you wrong then pivot to some other error
And when called on that error, flee again to some other error.
You are a coward.
You’re a tare AND a weasel, but then most tares are.
I tire of more than one round of whack the mole/weasel/tare.
Wait on.
You are beyond human help.
“Like the weasel you are you ignore any point that proves you wrong then pivot to some other error.”
Ignore any point?
That is rich, seeing you can’t deal with I John 2:18.
Tare, weasel, coward, false teacher, antisemite. You are on a roll today. More like an octopus that squirts out a cloud of ink to hide in.
The worst thing about preterists, is their doctrine causes them to disobey Christ’s command to watch through all the signs he gave leading up to his 2nd coming (Matt. 24).
The partial preterists who, with their full preterist brethren believing all that Jesus commanded us to watch for in Matt. 24 was fulfilled in 70AD, inconsistently make an exception for the 2nd coming. They say, it alone was not fulfilled in 70AD.
This makes them prime candidates to be the “evil servant” of Matt. 24:46-21. Since Christ didn’t come in 70AD (as their brethren the full preterists allege), they “say in their heart, my Lord had delayed his coming.” This long period of time since 70AD, void of signs of his 2nd coming according to them, that Christ told us to watch for, being that long “delay.”
Partial preterists believe all prophecy was fulfilled in 70AD - except the 2nd coming. While their brethren the full preterists, believe all prophecy - including the 2nd coming, was fulfilled in 70AD.
odwag is a Jew-hating Preterist.
Ignore the troll.
