Since Pope Benedict did not resign the papacy, and he did not, the answer would seem to be “yes, he is an antipope.” You can’t have two popes.
He is an embarrassment as a human being.
What a different world from the one in which John Paul II, Margaret Thatcher, Lech Wałęsa, and Ronald Reagan brought down the Soviet Union.

Francis = criminal, NOT Pope.
Francis could have demonstrated his humilty before God which woud essentially say thanks to the graceful departure of the pope emeritus which by Gods grace allowed him to become pope.
But…
What Bergolio did was thumb his nose at his predecessor and say, I Am THE pope. Deal with it.
Can’t say if either of your comments is true but the photo of Francis seated during the funeral reveals a darkness of his soul in a way wirds could not approach.
It was telling to look at the priest section of the crowd (plain vanilla priests, not cardinals or bishops). Was there anyone over 40? I doubt it. Clearly young priests cared to pay their respects and the older men did not.

The pope is a socialist dope.
He was alway the antipope until Benedict died. I would say that he will alway be one because Benedict was ousted in a palace coup and that it was an illegitimate Papal election.
In defense of Pope Francis — the college of cardinals duly elected him pope and there was no outcry at that time against the procedures observed in 2013.
Why all this agonizing today?
