Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Matthew 21
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
21 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”
4 This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:
5 “Say to Daughter Zion,
‘See, your king comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”[a]
6 The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. 7 They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. 8 A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna[b] to the Son of David!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”[c]
“Hosanna[d] in the highest heaven!”
10 When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”
11 The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
Magnified and Sanctified is Your Most Holy Name!
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God.
We Come into Your Presence With Singing
And Into Your Courts With Praise,
For Your Are Eternal,
Omnipotent,
And Righteous,
Our Creator,
and The Creator of All That Is!
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

The African-American Teenager was exiting the store when the alarm went off. The store manager walked over to her and noticed that a RF tag had not been removed by the cashier. The Teen showed her receipt, the manager scanned the tag and removed it, and the Teen passed through the door without further incident. It has happened to me many times.
But, in this case, the girl's mother was in the store. She immediately pounced upon the manager and accused him of racism. She went on and on while the girl looked on in horror and embarrassment. She saw me watching.
"I WISH she wouldn't do that," she confided to me. "The manager knew I wasn't shoplifting. It was just the tag..."
I found myself comforting the girl. "Don't be upset. If you want to see someone who was REALLY falsely accused, go see "The Passion of the Christ". It's playing at the mall right now!" Oh, and be sure and bring your Mom along." She smiled at me and said, "You're right about that."
As a child, I had a very linear, concrete, self-righteous sense of "Justice". I found the story of Jesus's Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem troubling, because, less than a week later, the crowds that had shouted "HOSANNA!" would be shouting "CRUCIFY HIM! and "GIVE US BARABBAS!". I mused about this a little too much, and began to hate Palm Sunday and all the things that went with it.
Hollywood tried to mitigate the hypocrisy of the people by depicting the Pharisees paying off ruffians in the crowd to lead the dissenting voices. But that isn't in the Gospel. While there was a bribe to keep witnesses quiet about the Resurrection, it is not mentioned in the context of the audience before Pilate. It was the same crowd. And that bothered me to no end. How could people turn so quickly from love to hate?
What I didn't realize at the time was that this HAD to happen in precisely the way it did so that Scripture would be fulfilled. There were Prophecies of both a Conquering King and a Suffering Servant. There are so many of these Paradoxes in Scripture, especially about the Messiah. Here are a few:
Sacrificial Lamb - Good Shepherd
Fully God - Fully Human
Sacrifice - High Priest
Judge - Advocate
Alpha - Omega
First - Last
Beginning - End
King - Servant.
I'll bet you can think of more.
So, next time you are treated unjustly, falsely accused, made responsible for something you had no control over, think about Palm Sunday and the Week that followed. Jesus is our High Priest because He has gone through it all. There is no embarrassment, humiliation, false accusation, or blame that He has not experienced Himself.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

Isaiah 43, 4 gives us a wonderful insight into God’s love for his chosen. The first 10 verses actually. Go to,the link for biblical commentary on it if you like- it’s a great chapter in his word
Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
Since thou wast precious in my sight,.... As the saints are; not that they are valuable in themselves; they have no intrinsic worth in them; they are in no wise better than others; they are of the same mass and lump with others; they are of the fallen race of Adam, and are earthly and simple as he was; nor are they precious in their own sight, and much less in the eyes of the world; they are mean and despicable: but they are precious in the sight of God and Christ; in the sight of God the Father, who has chosen them, and taken them into his family, and blessed them with all spiritual blessings; and in the sight of Christ, who desired them, and betrothed them to himself, and undertook for them in eternity, and died for them in time; hence they are compared to things of value, to gold, to jewels, and precious stones, to a pearl of great price, to rich treasure;

You’re welcome. It was a bible study and i found it pretty neat that while we as a whole are a mean despicable people who fall all the time into things we shouldnt, just like everyone does, saved or unsaved, God still loves those he called and does everything he can to draw us closer to him despite our massive shortcomings.
Merry Christmas To you too!

I check in all throughout the day, and catch all the new threads as th3y appear, so I will see the new updates.

Psalm 105
1 O give thanks to the Lord, call on his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples.
2 Sing to him, sing praises to him;
tell of all his wonderful works.
3 Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
4 Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually.
5 Remember the wonderful works he has done,
his miracles, and the judgements he has uttered,
6 O offspring of his servant Abraham,*
children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
7 He is the Lord our God;
his judgements are in all the earth.
8 He is mindful of his covenant for ever,
of the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations,
9 the covenant that he made with Abraham,
his sworn promise to Isaac,
10 which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 saying, ‘To you I will give the land of Canaan
as your portion for an inheritance.’
12 When they were few in number,
of little account, and strangers in it,
13 wandering from nation to nation,
from one kingdom to another people,
14 he allowed no one to oppress them;
he rebuked kings on their account,
15 saying, ‘Do not touch my anointed ones;
do my prophets no harm.’
16 When he summoned famine against the land,
and broke every staff of bread,
17 he had sent a man ahead of them,
Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
18 His feet were hurt with fetters,
his neck was put in a collar of iron;
19 until what he had said came to pass,
the word of the Lord kept testing him.
20 The king sent and released him;
the ruler of the peoples set him free.
21 He made him lord of his house,
and ruler of all his possessions,
22 to instruct* his officials at his pleasure,
and to teach his elders wisdom.
23 Then Israel came to Egypt;
Jacob lived as an alien in the land of Ham.
24 And the Lord made his people very fruitful,
and made them stronger than their foes,
25 whose hearts he then turned to hate his people,
to deal craftily with his servants.
26 He sent his servant Moses,
and Aaron whom he had chosen.
27 They performed his signs among them,
and miracles in the land of Ham.
28 He sent darkness, and made the land dark;
they rebelled* against his words.
29 He turned their waters into blood,
and caused their fish to die.
30 Their land swarmed with frogs,
even in the chambers of their kings.
31 He spoke, and there came swarms of flies,
and gnats throughout their country.
32 He gave them hail for rain,
and lightning that flashed through their land.
33 He struck their vines and fig trees,
and shattered the trees of their country.
34 He spoke, and the locusts came,
and young locusts without number;
35 they devoured all the vegetation in their land,
and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36 He struck down all the firstborn in their land,
the first issue of all their strength.
37 Then he brought Israel* out with silver and gold,
and there was no one among their tribes who stumbled.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed,
for dread of them had fallen upon it.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering,
and fire to give light by night.
40 They asked, and he brought quails,
and gave them food from heaven in abundance.
41 He opened the rock, and water gushed out;
it flowed through the desert like a river.
42 For he remembered his holy promise,
and Abraham, his servant.
43 So he brought his people out with joy,
his chosen ones with singing.
44 He gave them the lands of the nations,
and they took possession of the wealth of the peoples,
45 that they might keep his statutes
and observe his laws.
Praise the Lord!
