Is America at the End of the Road?
Jonathan Brentner ^ | 11/15/22 | Jonathan Brentner

Posted on 12/05/2022 7:17:08 AM PST by Roman_War_Criminal

Is America nearing the end of the road as a nation? Have we reached a place similar to that of Judah just before Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians destroyed Jerusalem and the temple?

Three times in the book of Jeremiah, the Lord tells the prophet to not pray for the people of Judah (Jeremiah 7:16, 11:14, 14:11). God’s judgment on the nation was certain at this point; praying would not change the final outcome.

Can we apply Jeremiah’s words to the U.S. as well? I believe we can.

God’s judgment upon America is not only certain, I believe it has already begun. Please know that I am not implying that revivals will no longer happen in the U.S. We should pray for people to come to the Savior and hopefully a great many will continue to receive His offer of eternal life.

What I am saying, however, is that there will not be a great spiritual awakening that will reshape America or change its downward trajectory. As a nation, we have rejected God and His ways just as Judah did during the time of the prophet Jeremiah.

The November 8, 2022, election in the U.S. confirms that as a nation, we are close to the end of the road. As expected, widespread cheating changed the outcome of many key races keeping the Democrats in control of the Senate as well as that of several state governorships. The slight advantage to Republicans in the House will not alter America’s continuing descent into darkness.

Abortion up to the moment of birth won big. In California, the ballot proposal to make the murder of preborn children part of the state’s constitution was up by 1.3 million votes the last time I checked. In Vermont, 77.4% voted in favor of enshrining the killing of innocents in the state’s constitution while 56.7% did so in Michigan.

There’s also evidence that many people went to the polls to voice their support of keeping abortion legal up to the point of birth.

THE ROMANS 1 PATH TO PERDITION Paul wrote these words in Romans 1:18:

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.”

What the apostle describes in the rest of the chapter aligns rather well with the past sixty years of American history. In Romans 1:28-32, we see the end result of rejecting God and His Word:

“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.”

The U.S. has reached the end of the Romans 1 path to perdition. Signs of the “debased mind” described in the above verses abound throughout our culture as well as in the halls of our federal government.

A recent news story claimed that the Biden administration sent money to Ecuador for the purpose of putting on drag queen shows, which are a hideous and indecent repudiation of all that God’s Word says about gender and morality.

Newsweek’s efforts to fact-check this report resulted in the two disturbing paragraphs below:

In a statement sent to Newsweek, a spokesperson for the State Department said the agency supports "a wide range of strategic programs in Ecuador" that focuses on diversity and representation, and that the goal of the CEN program is to "promote tolerance" and "provide new opportunities for LGBTQI+ Ecuadorians to express themselves freely and safely."

"LGBTQI+ people across the globe deserve to live in societies free from targeted violence and discrimination. Recent data suggest an alarming and deadly rise in violence against LGBTQI+ persons in Ecuador," the spokesperson said.[i]

In other words, the report that the Biden administration funded drag shows in Ecuador was not only true, but it’s just a sampling of their efforts to promote abhorrent debauchery in other nations as well.

The corruption that defines the U.S. government extends to Republicans as well. Most, if not all of the GOP leadership support the globalists’ agenda while only a handful of its politicians speak out against the injustice and wicked behavior that abounds throughout America.

On November 16, 2022, twelve Republican Senators joined Democrats in ending debate on the “Respect for Marriage Act,” which establishes same-sex marriage into federal law. This ensures that it will become law.

An article on the Harbingers Daily website quoted Franklin Graham regarding the legislation:

“The deceitfully named Respect for Marriage Act will be voted on by the U.S. Senate this week, as early as Wednesday. The bill strikes a blow at religious freedom for individuals and ministries and is really the ‘Destruction of Marriage Act.’ Its sponsors remarkably claim it protects religious freedom. It does not. This disastrous bill sends a message to America that if you don’t agree with the left’s definition of marriage, you are a bigot.

THE NEARNESS OF THE SEVEN-YEAR TRIBULATION Another indication that America lies near the end of the road is the rapidly approaching Day of the Lord, or the seven-year Tribulation, in which all nations will experience God’s wrath. It will be the worst time in world history; comparatively very few people will remain alive at the time of Jesus’ return to the earth (Matthew 24:22; see also Isaiah 13:9-12).

There have been 63 million abortions in America alone and over one billion worldwide since it became legal. This alone accounts for the severity of the Lord’s future judgments that John witnessed and described for us in Revelation 6-18.

However, there’s so much more wickedness that places the trajectory of America squarely on a downward path as I have brought up in other articles.

Several decades ago, after Ruth Graham read the draft of a book that her husband was writing, she said, “If God doesn’t punish America, He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.”

Her words ring true today, abundantly more so. God will not be apologizing! Instead, the U.S. will suffer a fate similar to those two ancient cities.

Even if I did not believe in a pre-Tribulation Rapture, I would still warn people about the Lord’s impending judgment on America.

THERE IS GOOD NEWS, REALLY In the midst of all the bad news about the moral decline of America as well as the rest of the world, there’s much good news, really!

First, we know that Jesus is coming for us soon; there’s no better news for weary souls than that.

Regardless of our current circumstances, even if they happen to be fantastic, heaven will be so much better, it will be glorious. From the moment of the Rapture forward, we will enjoy immortal bodies and experience joy beyond our wildest imagination.

We will meet Jesus in the air and go to the place He has prepared for us. Can you imagine the excitement we will feel when we see Jesus face to face? Spend a few moments thinking about the reunions that will take place with loved ones and dear friends who are already with the Lord. Once we set foot in glory, we will instantly forget about our trials and hardships on earth.

Second, if you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus and His saving work on the cross, the good news is that you can know that you possess everlasting life (1 John 5:13). All those that call upon Jesus in faith are bound for glory; they will never experience God’s wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10; 5:9-10).

In my post, Jesus Is the Only Path to Eternal Life, I explain how you can know that God has forgiven all your sins because of the blood that Jesus shed upon the cross. He died in your place; He took the wrath we all deserve upon Himself. He paid the penalty for all of our sins, past, present, and future.

In 1 John 5:11-12, we find these comforting words about eternal life:

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Call upon the Savior while you have the opportunity; tomorrow may be too late. He alone is the path to eternal life (John 14:6).

Valid point, for those who could fall into the trap laid by false brethren.

The following really could not be clearer,

Galatians 3:19-25
King James Version

19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

((I love reading Galatians because this was Paul’s attempt to warn those falling into bondage by the Judaizers. Paul counted the works of the flesh as dung.)

——>That’s very good, Patriot! Phil refuses to be a part of the Body of Christ as a “new creature” as the Bible defines us. He’s stuck in between old Isreal and what was Spiritual Israel AND the Israel to come.

——>And, yet and still, he believes God is done with Israel.

You mean THIS crap?

Yep, and Paul’s counting those works of the flesh as dung SHOULD get through to someone, but they won’t.

Cultists will quote Jesus’ words in the Gospels, prophets of the OT, Webster’s Dictionary or a phone book before they will quote our dear Apostle Paul, who is our example.

This is why I am thinking of not voting in any future elections. 1)the cheating is just getting worse and no one seems to be able to do anything about it.

So we won't vote in 2024.

And the following, once again could not be clearer.

Rejoice sister, for we’ve been set free, free indeed!

Galatians 4:21-31
King James Version

21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Galatians 5:1-6
King James Version

5 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

This thread is the fruit of Establishment Jesus, the “Jesus” that the Jesus of the Bible warned everybody about.

If the Messiah believed the settled doctrines, he wouldn’t be able to recognize himself. Hmmm...

Well anyway, there are always ways to get around the blockades.

While the America-is-dead crowd piles on, he’s going to be in need of actual Can-Do People who’ll help him get his project off the ground. (It’s so hard to find good help these days.)

What’s your skillset?

TIA

OSAS/OJAJ hate God’s law because they think obedience to Him is bondage?

Hmmm...

Eccl 12:13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

14For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Romans 11 speaks of Grace being given to the Jew first, but because of the rejection of Jesus Christ, we as Gentiles were grafted in. But an assurance is also made that God will turn back to the Jews. And we know this through the promise of the restoration of Israel. This was God’s Covenant to the Jew first.

So is it any surprise that certain people reject the Promise made by God when they reject His Grace?

In post 126, I quoted Paul’s words describing the difference between the heir of the bond woman and the heirs of the children of Promise by faith.

Those under the bond woman reject the heirs of Promise by faith.

There are none so blind as those refusing to see.

Keep looking up Sister, this could be the Day.

---->So, are you saying that you are now a “new creature” in the Body of Christ instead of all the other things?

Of course.

2 Cor 5:17Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!

17. In Christ. Paul’s favorite definition of what it is to be a Christian. When he became a Christian he was baptized “into Jesus Christ” (Rom. 6:3), and the new life he lives henceforth is centered in Christ (John 15:3–7). He is joined to Christ and wholly subject to His life, power, influence, and word. Paul’s whole life moves in a new, spiritual sphere. Nothing is exempted.

Only “in Christ” can a sinner find acceptance with God (Phil. 3:9) and sustenance for living the new life (John 15:4, 5; Gal 2:20). The joys and sorrows, triumphs and sufferings, of life are all “in Christ” (Rom. 14:17; Phil. 3:9, 10). Even death is robbed of its sting, for those who “die in the Lord” are blessed (Rev. 14:13). Christianity elevates every human experience and obligation into a new relationship, designated by the term “in Christ.”

Creature. Gr. ktisis, “creation,” “thing created,” “creature.” For a man to be constrained by the love of Christ to live no longer unto self but unto God, to judge men no longer by appearance but by the spirit, to know Christ according to the spirit and not according to the flesh, he must be created a new being. To transform a lost sinner into a “new creature” requires the same creative energy that originally brought forth life (John 3:3, 5; Rom. 6:5, 6; Eph. 2:10; Col. 3:9, 10). It is a supernatural operation, altogether foreign to normal human experience.

This new nature is not the product of moral virtue presumed by some to be inherent in man, and requiring only growth and expression. There are thousands of so-called moral men who make no profession of being Christians, and who are not “new” creatures. The new nature is not merely the product of a desire, or even of a resolution, to do right (Rom. 7:15–18), of mental assent to certain doctrines, of an exchange of one set of opinions or feelings for another, or even of sorrow from sin. It is the result of the presence of a supernatural element introduced into a man, which results in his dying to sin and being born again. Thus are we created anew in the likeness of Christ, adopted as sons and daughters of God, and set on a new path (see Eze. 36:26, 27; John 1:12, 13; 3:3– 7; 5:24; Eph. 1:19; 2:1, 10; 4:24; Titus 3:5; James 1:18). Thus we are made partakers of the divine nature and are granted possession of eternal life (2 Peter 1:4; 1 John 5:11, 12). The new believer is not born a full-grown, mature Christian; he first has the spiritual inexperience and immaturity of infancy. But as a son of God he does have the privilege and opportunity to grow up into the full stature of Christ (see on Matt. 5:48; Eph. 4:14– 16; 2 Peter 3:18).

Become new. See on Rom. 6:4–6. Textual evidence favors (cf. p. 10) the omission of the words “all things,” the last clause of v. 17 thus reading “they are become new.”

——>In post 126, I quoted Paul’s words describing the difference between the heir of the bond woman and the heirs of the children of Promise by faith.

It’s a good lesson. Unfortunately, you miss a very important point.

The Slave Woman and the Free Woman - Two Covenants

http://www.biblelightinfo.com/covenant-seal.htm

[NIV] Gal 4:24 These things may be taken figuratively, for the women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar.
Gal 4:25 Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children.

Hagar represents works righteousness, a failed attempt at justification by keeping the law by the flesh, by human effort, apart from God, not by faith.

Gal 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

Gal 4:30 But what does the Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”
Gal 4:31 Therefore, brothers, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.
Gal 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Gal 5:2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all.
Gal 5:3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.
Gal 5:4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.

The free woman Sarah represents righteousness by faith, faith in Jesus Christ, who kept the law perfectly for us, and shed his blood to satisfy the demand that the sinner’s blood be shed.

Gal 5:5 But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope.
Gal 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

So it is not the law that is cast out with the Old Covenant, rather there is a change in how the law is viewed - in the New Covenant, the Law of God is internalized by His people:

2 Cor 3:3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
2 Cor 3:4 Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God.
2 Cor 3:5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.
2 Cor 3:6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
2 Cor 3:7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was,
2 Cor 3:8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?

So the New Covenant differs in that it is not a covenant with God to keep the letter of the law written in stone, but a Covenant of faith, a faith that is automatically obedient to the spirit and will of God as expressed in His Law. A true faith does not view God’s Law as a burden to be kept externally, but an expression of love to be taken into the obedient heart and mind.

The only difference in the New Covenant, as shown above, is that the Law of God is now written in the hearts and minds of God’s true people, the people of faith who express their love of God by obedience to God’s Law:

Since the “people of the West” are the descendants National Israel, we are going into slavery once more. The word Egypt is used to denote slavery and a nation in scripture. We are currently being sold into slavery by our Elect ed.
